We present a new generic problem solving approach for over-constrained problems based on Max-SAT. We first define a Boolean
clausal form formalism, called soft CNF formulas, that deals with blocks of clauses instead of individual clauses, and that allows one to declare each block either as hard (i.e., must be satisfied by any solution) or soft (i.e., can be violated by some solution). We then present two Max-SAT solvers that find a truth assignment that satisfies
all the hard blocks of clauses and the maximum number of soft blocks of clauses. Our solvers are branch and bound algorithms
equipped with original lazy data structures, powerful inference techniques, good quality lower bounds, and original variable
selection heuristics. Finally, we report an experimental investigation on a representative sample of instances (random 2-SAT,
Max-CSP, graph coloring, pigeon hole and quasigroup completion) which provides experimental evidence that our approach is
very competitive compared with the state-of-the-art approaches developed in the CSP and SAT communities.

Iron–nickel spinel oxide NiFe2O4 nanoparticles have been prepared by the combination of chemical precipitation and subsequent mechanical milling. For comparison, their analogue obtained by thermal synthesis is also studied. Phase composition and structural properties of iron–nickel oxides are investigated by X-ray diffraction and Mössbauer spectroscopy. Their catalytic behavior in methanol decomposition to CO and methane is tested. In the present work, ferrites with compositions of (Ni0.27Zn0.64Cux)Fe1.98O4 (x=0.1, 0.2) were prepared by conventional ceramic methods. The relationship between the microstructure and the temperature dependence of relative initial permeability was investigated. It was found that intergranular pores in the ferrites generate large demagnetizing fields, reducing the temperature dependence of the effective anisotropy field Heff, and decreasing the temperature dependence of the relative initial permeability accordingly. However, intragranular pores pin the movement of domain walls. Compared with the permeability induced by domain wall motion, the permeability that resulted from the spin rotation is more sensitive to temperature. As a result, the relative initial permeability of ferrites becomes more sensitive to temperature with increasing micropores within grains. 相似文献

A new Co–Fe-based ferromagnetic bulk metallic glass (BMG) was synthesized by copper mould casting method. The thermal stability and crystallization processes were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The soft magnetic behavior was studied by DC magnetic measurements. The high glass formation ability was interpreted in terms of the effective suppression of nucleation and growth of the intermetallic compounds which appear in the multicomponent system during solidification. The high thermal stability indicates that the new Co–Fe-based BMG could be used as high-temperature magnetic material. The low coercivity which was as low as 8 A/m for the as-cast sample was found in the Co–Fe-based metallic glass cylinder with a diameter of 1.5 mm. 相似文献

A rodlike barium ferrite precursor with an average size of 0.72~19.6 μm and aspect ratio of 2.6~8.3 has been successfully prepared in an inverse microemulsion consisting of isooctane, cetanyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB), n-C4H9OH and water with ammonia and ammonium oxalate as precipitants. On sintering at 780(C, the rodlike precursor particles could be transformed into rodlike particles of barium ferrite(BaFe12O19) with the average size and aspect ratio of 0.69~18.2 μm and 2.3~5.8, respectively. The effect of volume ratio of aqueous phase to oleic phase, the starting concentrations of metal ions and the starting concentration ratios of metal ions to precipitants were investigated. 相似文献

Portable microfluidic systems provide simple and effective solutions for low-cost point-of-care diagnostics and high-throughput biomedical assays. Robust flow control and precise fluidic volumes are two critical requirements for these applications. We have developed a monolithic polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) microdevice that allows for storing and mixing subnanoliter volumes of aqueous solutions at various mixing ratios. Filling and mixing is controlled via two integrated PDMS microvalve arrays. The volumes of the microchambers are entirely defined by photolithography, hence volumes from picoliter to nanoliter can be fabricated with high precision. Because the microvalves do not require an energy input to stay closed, fluid can be stored in a highly portable fashion for several days. We have confirmed the mixing precision and predictability using fluorescence microscopy. We also demonstrate the application of the device for calibrating fluorescent calcium indicators. Due to the biocompatibility of PDMS, the device will have broad applications in miniaturized diagnostic assays as well as basic biological studies. 相似文献

The dielectric and magnetic properties of carbonyl—iron (CI) and nickel zinc ferrite polymer composites were studied with respect to the ferrite particulate content and microwave frequency. From the experimental data and using empirical models that relate the composite dielectric and magnetic properties, the respective dielectric and magnetic properties of the neat fillers were estimated. The tensile properties of the particulate composites comprising CI were shown to follow qualitatively Mooney's equation for the elastic modulus. The tensile strength of an elastomeric polyurethane and PVC composites containing CI increased with particulate content, while the elongation to break decreased with filler content. SEM micrographs of tensile fracture surfaces indicated that somewhat better adhesion is obtained in the case of the polyurethane-based composites compared to the PVC ones. 相似文献
