We consider GUT models inspired by recent local F-theory constructions. We show that after switching on vevs to scalars the extra matter becomes messengers. We discuss conditions on these vevs under which the models do not lead to unacceptable baryon/lepton number violating processes.  相似文献

We consider E6 GUT model in F‐theory approach where E6 is broken via trinification to the Standard Model (SM) gauge group using non‐abelian fluxes. Including the gauge singlet wave function we found hierarchically small values for both the μ term as well as Dirac neutrino masses.  相似文献

Results of a new study of the discovery potential within mSUGRA parameter space of inclusive searches for SUSY at ATLAS are presented. These results indicate that superior performance is provided by the jets + ETmiss channel in which no requirements are placed upon lepton multiplicity. The sensitivity of this and other channels is mapped in m0 - m1/2 parameter space for four different values of tan(β) with similar performance being obtained in all cases. Inclusive measurements of the effective mass scale Msusyeff and total production cross-section σsusy of supersymmetric particles are also discussed and results presented of a study of the likely measurement precisions.  相似文献

由于天体粒子物理涉及的研究领域太宽,本文拟以宇宙线总的能谱特征为线索,分段介绍各能区的研究前沿,总结有关宇宙线的起源、传播和成分的理论模型和相应的观测实验进展,并简要介绍相关的高能领域,例如γ暴(GRB),中微子,暗物质,超对称(SUSY),大统一理论(GUT)。这些理论在某种程度上暗示着极高能宇宙线的产生机制,并可能意味着需要新的超出标准粒子物理模型的理论来解释GZK截断(GZK Cutoff)的疑难问题。对高能天体物理的研究可以拓宽人类对早期宇宙的认识,为新物理理论模型提供检验的证据,为人类认识自然提供了另一扇窗口。  相似文献

Silicones have innumerable applications in many areas of life. Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), which belongs to the class of silicones, has been extensively used in the field of analytical chemistry owing to its favourable physicochemical properties. The use of PDMS in analytical chemistry gained importance with its application as a stationary phase in gas chromatographic separations. Since then it has been used in many sample preparation techniques such as solid phase microextraction (SPME), stir bar sorptive extraction (SBSE), thin-film extraction, permeation passive sampling, etc. Further, it is gaining importance in the manufacturing of lab-on-a-chip devices, which have revolutionized bio-analysis. Applications of devices containing PDMS and used in the field of analytical chemistry are reviewed in this paper.  相似文献
