We discuss how the spectral changes of quarkonia at T c can reflect the ‘critical’ behaviour of QCD phase transition. Starting from the temperature dependencies of the energy density and pressure from lattice QCD calculation, we extract the temperature dependencies of the scalar and spin-2 gluon condensates near T c. We also parametrize these changes into the electric and magnetic condensate near T c. While the magnetic condensate hardly changes across T c, we find that the electric condensate increases abruptly above T c. Similar abrupt change is also seen in the scalar condensate. Using the QCD second-order Stark effect and QCD sum rules, we show that these sudden changes induce equally abrupt changes in the mass and width of J/ψ, both of which are larger than 100 MeV at slightly above T c.   相似文献

The N-radial Schrödinger equation is analytically solved. The Cornell potential is extended to finite temperature. The energy eigenvalues and the wave functions are calculated in the N-dimensional form using the Nikiforov–Uvarov (NV) method. At zero temperature, the energy eigenvalues and the wave functions are obtained in good agreement with other works. The present results are applied on the charmonium and bottomonium masses at finite temperature. The effect of dimensionality number is investigated on the quarkonium masses. A comparison is discussed with other works, which use the QCD sum rules and lattice QCD. The present approach successfully generalizes the energy eigenvalues and corresponding wave functions at finite temperature in the N-dimensional representation. In addition, the present approach can successfully be applied to the quarkonium systems at finite temperature.  相似文献

The leading non-perturbative QCD corrections to the one-gluon exchange quark-quark, quark-antiquark and pair-excitation potentials are derived by using a covariant form of non-local two-quark and two-gluon vacuum expectation values. Our numerical calculation indicates that the correction of quark and gluon condensates to the quark-antiquark potential improves the heavy quarkonium spectra to some degree.  相似文献

Mass regularities forS- andP-wave mesons and relations between their masses are discussed. A detailed analysis is given forS-wave mesons which extends the investigations onP-wave mesons reported earlier. Masses for theS- andP-states of all interesting -systems (including toponium states) are predicted. Partial understanding of the mass formulae is obtained within a general potential model approach. Scaling arguments are presented which support the empirical scaling behaviour found for the expectation values determining the spin-splittings in the potential picture.  相似文献

We update the study of the QCD corrections to direct J/ψ and hadroproduction in association with a photon in the QCD-based approach of the Colour-Singlet (CS) Model. After comparison with the recent full next-to-leading-order (NLO) computation for this process, we provide an independent confirmation to the inclusive case that NLO QCD corrections to quarkonium-production processes whose LO exhibits a non-leading PT behaviour can be reliably computed at mid and large PT by considering only the real emission contributions accompanied with a kinematical cut. In turn, we evaluate the leading part of the contributions, namely those coming from (J/ψ,)+γ associated with two light partons. We find that they are dominant at mid and large PT. This confirms our expectations from the leading PT scaling of the new topologies appearing at NNLO. We obtain that the yield from the CS becomes one order of magnitude larger than the upper value of the potential colour-octet yield. The polarisation of the quarkonia produced in association with a photon is confirmed to be longitudinal at mid and large PT.  相似文献

The heavy quarkonium spectrum of Two Color QCD (QC2D) at non-zero quark chemical potential μ and temperature T   with μ/T?1μ/T?1 has been calculated in both S- and P-wave channels using a lattice non-relativistic formulation of QC2D. As μ is varied, the quarkonium spectra reveal three separate regions, corroborating previous findings that there are three distinct physical regimes of QC2D at low temperature and high baryon density: hadronic matter, quark/quarkyonic matter, and deconfined matter. The results are interpreted in terms of the formation of heavy-light Qq states in the two-color baryonic medium.  相似文献

I discuss quarkonium suppression in equilibrated strongly interacting matter. After a brief review of basic features of quarkonium production I discuss the application of recent lattice data on the heavy quark potential to the problem of quarkonium dissociation as well as the problem of direct lattice determination of quarkonium properties in finite temperature lattice QCD.  相似文献

The existing measurements of quarkonium polarization in proton-antiproton and proton-nucleus collisions are puzzling. We highlight issues which are often underestimated in the experimental analyses: the importance of the choice of the experimental acceptance on the comparison between experimental measurements and theoretical calculations. New measurements must provide more detailed information, such that physical conclusions can be derived without relying on model-dependent assumptions. We also describe a frame-invariant formalism which minimizes the dependence of the measurements on the experimental acceptance, facilitates the comparison with theoretical calculations, and probes systematic effects due to experimental biases.  相似文献
