After reviewing the presently available quadrature schemes for the discrete ordinates method, the accuracy of different schemes is analyzed and evaluated. It is shown from a comprehensive error analysis that the moment conditions have to satisfied not only for the principal coordinates directions, as it is mostly carried out, but for any arbitrary test direction. Among the schemes with approximately 50 discrete ordinates the DCT-020-2468 quadrature was found to give the best accuracy. The highest accuracy among all schemes is achieved by the LC-11 quadrature which requires 96 discrete ordinates. This scheme is rarely used up to date and deserves more attention for high accuracy predictions.  相似文献

6PolSK-QPSK is a promising modulation format in optical fiber communication. Because of the damage suffered during the transmission and reception, a series of algorithms are needed to be adopted to recover the original data. We proposed a novel quadrature imbalance compensation algorithm based on the data statistical properties. Simulation results show that the quadrature imbalance can be well compensated with the proposed algorithm.  相似文献

差分相移键控(DPSK)调制方式和色散管理孤子传输方式的结合能抵制噪声和非线性损伤,在高速(40 Gbit/s以上)多信道系统中具有突出的优点。采用变分法分析了多波长信道的放大自发辐射(ASE)噪声、信号间的非线性串扰(ISI)等多种扰动因素引起差分相移键控色散管理孤子系统的均方根相位抖动,给出了扰动的作用区域以及各扰动的大小。研究发现,放大自发辐射引起的抖动与传输距离成三次方的关系,而交叉相位调制(XPM)引起的抖动与距离近似成线性关系。通过优化选择色散管理图强度范围1.5~3.5,各种扰动得到了抑制,而以放大自发辐射扰动抑制为最大,此时要远低于交叉相位调制引起的抖动,然后分别是交叉相位调制-放大自发辐射扰动和交叉相位调制,从而波分复用系统主要来自于增加信道数这一客观限制。  相似文献

提出了一种新型的基于串行结构的最小频移键控调制技术,产生了相位连续,频谱宽度窄,每码元时间有两次π/2相移,类似于传统最小频移键控调制信号,给出了该调制方案的理论推导,并将其应用于8进制的多维多阶调制系统中。理论和仿真分析了不同的8进制调制方案在频谱特性,残留色散容限,自相位调制容限的不同,还分析了其受到系统滤波带宽的影响。最后仿真实现了通过350km的色散完全补偿的光纤120Gb/s的数据传输。  相似文献

After studying Gaussian type quadrature formulae with mixed boundary conditions, we suggest a fast algorithm for computing their nodes and weights. It is shown that the latter are computed in the same manner as in the theory of the classical Gauss quadrature formulae. In fact, all nodes and weights are again computed as eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a real symmetric tridiagonal matrix. Hence, we can adapt existing procedures for generating such quadrature formulae. Comparative results with various methods now in use are given. In the second part of this paper, new algorithms for spectral approximations for second-order elliptic problems are derived. The key to the efficiency of our algorithms is to find an appropriate spectral approximation by using the most accurate quadrature formula, which takes the boundary conditions into account in such a way that the resulting discrete system has a diagonal mass matrix. Hence, our algorithms can be used to introduce explicit resolutions for the time-dependent problems. This is the so-called lumped mass method. The performance of the approach is illustrated with several numerical examples in one and two space dimensions.

In this paper, we successfully invented a polarization controlled light source for coherent or noncoherent fiber communication systems. The structure of our experiment includes 89C51 control board and feedback circuit which can stabilize states of polarization (SOPs) of output light. From the SOP modulation results, the given degree of polarization can be effectively controlled and the polarization state can be arbitrarily changed.  相似文献

This paper presents the detailed principle on the generation and detection of optical minimum shift keying (MSK) format for high-speed and high spectral efficiency WDM systems. 10.7 Gb/s optical MSK data is successfully generated by experiment using the proposed scheme. The results show that optical MSK signal exhibits very compact optical spectrum, which is promising for high spectral efficiency WDM applications. Simulation results on dispersion and nonlinear tolerance comparison confirm that MSK signal has better dispersion tolerance and nonlinear tolerance compared with 50% duty cycle return-to-zero differential phase shift keying (RZ-DPSK) and 50% duty cycle RZ on-off-keying (RZ-OOK) formats.  相似文献
