Decay rate for viscoelastic wave equation of variable coefficients with delay and dynamic boundary conditions

In this paper, we consider a viscoelastic wave equation of variable coefficients in the presence of past history with nonlinear damping and delay in the internal feedback and dynamic boundary conditions. Under suitable assumptions, we establish an explicit and general decay rate result without imposing restrictive assumption on the behavior of the relaxation function at infinity by Riemannian geometry method and Lyapunov functional method.     

应力对M-Z型InP/InGaAsP-EAM偏振

采用Agilent 81910A光子全参量测试仪,首次实验研究了InP/In1－xGaxAs1－yPy-MQW（Multiple-Quantum-Well,MQW）材料与衬底间因应力而产生的M-Z型光调制器的PDL影响以及由此引起的由差分群时延(Differential Group Delay,DGD)表征的偏振模色散(Polarization Mode Dispersion,PMD).研究结果表明,半导体MQW光调制器的PDL与DGD是一致的.因此在半导体光器件的制作过程中,应尽可能地减小衬底与波导芯层之间的因残存应力的存在造成对光器件的高速性能的不利影响.     

Photonic crystal beam splitters

In this work, the beam splitter with two input ports and two output ports in two-dimensional photonic crystals is studied through the finite-difference time-domain method. The beam splitter consists of two orthogonally cross line defects. The diameter of the two diagonal air holes at the intersection of the two line defects was modified. The input light can be identically divided into the two output ports. The beam splitters can be applied in the photonic crystal Mach-Zehnder interferometers or photonic crystal optical switches.

双折射滤光片的色散特性研究

研究了由理想线偏振片和单轴双折射晶体波片组成的双折射滤光片倾斜放置时的二阶色散和 三阶色散特性，包括波片厚度、光线入射角和光轴旋转角的变化对二阶和三阶色散的影响. 还给出了双折射滤光片的群延迟表达式，并就色散特性与GT干涉仪进行了详细比较. 关键词： 双折射滤光片 群延迟 二阶色散 三阶色散     

Imprint lithography of pyramidal photonic pillars using hydrazine etching

An inexpensive method to produce a pyramidal-type 2D photonic structures in the silicon substrate was proposed. The method is based on the combination of imprint lithography and wet Si1 0 0 etching in water solution of hydrazine, which etches 1 1 1 faces much more slowly than others. Thermally grown SiO₂ mask for the hydrazine etching was used, because single Al mask cannot be well bonded to the substrate and tends to peel during the etching. It was revealed that transmittance in the infrared spectrum region of the patterned silicon decreases by about five times compared with that of flat silicon substrate and this decrease is almost independent of the angle of the incident beam. In the infrared region, decrease of transmittance of the patterned samples is directly proportional to the wave number. The shape of formed pyramids has strong influence on the transmittance. Decrease of the transmittance is much more rapid and larger in the case of sharpless pillars.     

光突发交换的交换控制策略和光缓存配置

光突发交换是面向下一代互联网的光交换模式.讨论了异步光突发交换系统的交换控制策略以及相应光缓存的优化配置策略.除了传统预约模式的交换策略,还研究了非预约和改进型预约模式,它们的性能评估由计算机仿真给出.结果表明:在条件相当情况下,改进型预约模式具有最低的丢包率.同时光缓存的配置对上述几类交换控制策略的性能都有很大影响,仿真结果指出:光缓存的粒度对系统性能具有重要影响,所讨论的几类交换模式都存在最佳时延粒度,研究结果对光交换矩阵的设计有指导意义.     

OSCILLATION RESULTS FOR A SECOND ORDER NEUTRAL DELAY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

Some new oscillation criteria are established for a second order neutral delay differential equations. These results improve oscillation results of Y.V. Rogo-vchenko for the retarded delay differential equations. The relevance of our theorems is illustrated with two carefully selected examples.     

ASYMPTOTIC BEHAVIOR OF SOLUTIONS OF NONLINEAR DELAY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

Sufficient conditions are established for the asymptotic behavior of solutionsof nonlinear delay differential equations x′(t)+sum from i=1 to m(pi(t)x(t-т_i))=F(t,x_t),t≥0where 0<т_1<т_2<…<т_m≤r,pi∈C([0,∞)),i=1,2,…,m,F∈C([0,∞)×C_0,R).C_0=C([-r,0],R)equipped with the sup norm ||·|| forsome r>0. A new result is established, some known results are improved.
