One of the most significant issues of the last few decades has been tracing for renewable energy sources. Animal fleshing (ANFL) is the most common proteinaceous solid waste accured during the production of leather and it must be disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner. This paper is attempts to assess the biogas production from solid waste originating from the chrome based tannery. Anaerobic digestion of these wastes will be a viable option for waste stabilization and energy production in the form of biogas to be utilized in the industry. The bio-methane potential of the wastes were examined by mixing these wastes with various sources of inoculum and different inoculum to substrate (I/S) ratio considered. The batch experiments were carried out in 2.5 l glass reactors with a various source of inoculumviz., Cow Dung (CD), Elephant Dung (ED) and Bio-Digested Slurry (BDS) with varied inoculum to substrate (LFs) ratios for a retention time of 50 days with replications. The results obtained from the experiments showed that BDS:LF (25:75) had the highest gas production of 14505 ml (651.85 ml CH4g?1 VS) followed by CD:LF (50:50) produced 12072.5 ml (789.36 ml CH4g?1 VS) and ED:LF (75:25) produced 11252.5 ml (1492.08 ml CH4g?1 VS)with a methane content of 63.77, 61.92 and 62.72%, respectively.  相似文献

Two methods for the analysis of dimethyl fumarate (DMF) on silica gel, leather and other similar products are presented. The methods are based on solvent extraction or head space solid phase microextraction coupled with gas-chromatography–mass spectrometry. The thermal degradation of collagen-based materials, viz. collagen, recently manufactured parchments and tanned leathers, a heritage parchment and patrimonial (historical) leathers, was investigated by thermal analysis methods. With progressive heating, all these materials exhibit three main successive processes, associated with dehydration, protein denaturation and pyrolysis/oxidation. The analysis of both denaturation and thermo-oxidation revealed significant differences between aged leather, collagen, recently manufactured parchments and tanned leathers in terms of the number of overlapping processes (reflected in the number of peaks recorded at denaturation) and of the oxidative degradation rates, given by the normalised curves of differential thermal gravimetry (DTG). The various observations are proposed as qualitative indices for assessing the age and storage conditions of leather. A three-phase model was used for explaining the results. This consists of crystalline collagen filaments that are embedded in an amorphous matrix with an interface zone between the crystalline and amorphous regions. Solid-state 1H NMR investigations corroborate the thermal analysis results and enhance the understanding of the ageing processes.  相似文献

There is a growing demand for eco-friendly/non-toxic colorants, specifically for health sensitive applications such as coloration of food and dyeing of child textile/leather garments. Recently, dyes derived from natural sources for these applications have emerged as an important alternative to potentially harmful synthetic dyes and pose need for suitable effective extraction methodologies. The present paper focus on the influence of process parameters for ultrasound assisted leaching of coloring matter from plant materials. In the present work, extraction of natural dye from beetroot using ultrasound has been studied and compared with static/magnetic stirring as a control process at 45 °C. The influence of process parameters on the extraction efficiency such as ultrasonic output power, time, pulse mode, effect of solvent system and amount of beetroot has been studied. The use of ultrasound is found to have significant improvement in the extraction efficiency of colorant obtained from beetroot. Based on the experiments it has been found that a mixture of 1:1 ethanol–water with 80 W ultrasonic power for 3 h contact time provided better yield and extraction efficiency. Pulse mode operation may be useful in reducing electrical energy consumption in the extraction process. The effect of the amount of beetroot used in relation to extraction efficiency has also been studied. Two-stage extraction has been studied and found to be beneficial for improving the yield for higher amounts of beetroot. Significant 8% enhancement in % yield of colorant has been achieved with ultrasound, 80 W as compared to MS process both using 1:1 ethanol–water. The coloring ability of extracted beet dye has been tested on substrates such as leather and paper and found to be suitable for dyeing. Ultrasound is also found to be beneficial in natural dyeing of leather with improved rate of exhaustion. Both the dyed substrates have better color values for ultrasonic beet extract as inferred from reflectance measurement. Therefore, the present study clearly offers efficient extraction methodology from natural dye resources such as beetroot with ultrasound even dispensing with external heating. Thereby, also making eco-friendly non-toxic dyeing of fibrous substances a potential viable option.  相似文献

皮革种类的鉴定对生产控制、贸易过程和市场管理都具有重要意义,目前尚未有皮革种类鉴定的正式检测标准,皮革种类鉴定主要依靠感官法、燃烧法、化学溶解法、显微镜法等综合判定,对人员要求高,主观性强。利用近红外光谱技术对市场五种常见皮革样品(头层牛皮革、剖层移膜革、羊皮革、再生革和人造革)进行分析,利用判别分析法(discriminant analysis, DA)结合标准正态变量变换(multiplicative signal correction,MSC)、多元散射校正(standard normal variate,SNV)、一阶微分(first derivative)、二阶微分(second derivative)等光谱预处理方法进行分类鉴别。结果显示:上述五种革类在同一空间中重叠严重,但是利用样本反面光谱数据可以轻易将人造革和其他革类进行区分,误判率为1.2%,余下四种天然或加工革类重叠稍显严重,在同一个空间内同时对四种革类区分效果不是很理想,两两分组的分类效果较好,误判率13%~17.9%。而不同的数据处理方法在不同的判别分析模型中带来的效果也不尽相同,未发现一种能持续稳定为模型提供优化效果的预处理手段。上述数据说明采用近红外手段对于皮革种类进行判别是具有可行性的,由于本次取样来自于市场上的皮包、皮衣、皮带等最终产品,已经过染色、压花、覆膜等各种复杂处理,可能对模型带来一定的影响,如果能采取一些手段,如扩大样本量等,减弱这些影响,应该能得到更满意的结果。  相似文献

Acrylic resin/nano-SiO2 (AR/nano-SiO2) composite was prepared by physical blends of acrylic resin (AR) and nano-SiO2, which was synthesized via the sol-gel method of tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) catalyzed with alkali. The synthetic conditions, such as surfactant type, the content of nano-SiO2 sol, stirring speed, mixed temperature and ultrasonic treatment, on nanocomposites’ property were studied in detail. DSC indicated the glass transition temperature of AR/nano-SiO2 (Tg = −26.7°C) was a little higher than that of the acrylic resin (Tg= −29.6°C). Water uptake confirmed that the water resistance of AR/nano-SiO2 was improved by 55.94% and the solvent resistance by 54.79% when compared with AR. The improved properties of leather finished by AR/nano-SiO2 were shown, in contrast to AR treatment; water vapor permeability was increased by 9.15% and the finish adhesion by 10.35%.  相似文献

研究了流动注射变色酸分光光度法测定皮革制品中的甲醛。与传统的变色酸光度法相比,该方法具有灵敏度更高,干扰更少的特点。在0.4 mol/L硫酸介质中,甲醛与变色酸在85℃左右形成络合物,该络合物在390 nm有最大吸收峰,且能稳定存在至少96 h。详细考察了各种测试条件如萃取剂、萃取时间、显色时间、反应温度、反应时间等对甲醛测定结果的影响,优化了反应的化学因素和流动注射系统反应条件。该方法的检出限和线性范围分别为0.1μg/L(3σ)和50~1000μg/L,相对标准偏差为0.56%(连续注射500μg/L甲醛标液11次)。该方法成功用于皮革制品或者皮质材料中的甲醛的测定。  相似文献

The oxidation of a number of fatliquoring formulations, of different iodine index, derived from fish oil, rapeseed oil, neatsfoot oil, lecithin, paraffin, sulphited and sulphated variants was studied. The formulations included dispersing agents, stabilizers and/or anti-oxidants. Sheepskins were treated with fatliquoring agents at 5% of fatty matter. The oxidation of the fatliquoring formulations and the fatliquored skins was studied by non-isothermal differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The onset thermoxidation temperature and the enthalpy of the thermoxidation peak located between 195 and 265 °C were determined and then related to the different fatliquoring standard formulations. The skins were subjected to ageing treatments using UV radiation and temperature. The fall in the denaturation temperature of the skin due to ageing was related to the oxidability of the fatliquoring agent.  相似文献

以绵羊皮革为研究对象,利用X射线能谱仪(EDXA)分析了鞣性金属锆铬在绵羊皮革中的分布,结果表明:鞣性金属元素锆、铬在绵羊皮革中的分布整体上比较均匀,但局部存在不均匀现象,鞣性金属组分主要分布于纤维束边缘,纤维束的空隙和内部含量均较低.  相似文献
