Summary The halogenation of derivatives of 2-aminophenol with N-chloro- and N-bromosuccinimides at ambient temperatures in acetic acid was studied. With the necessary compounds available, a reexamination of the thermolytic rearrangement of 2-halophenyl azides to 2-aminophenols and other products was undertaken. It is certain that the rearrangement of 4-halophenyl azides to 2-aminophenols occurs but the products identified in this study differ significantly from those reported previously by Suschitzky et al. (1963, 1966).

Zusammenfassung Es wurde die Halogenierung von 2-Aminophenol-Derivaten mit N-Chlor- und N-Bromsuccinimid bei Raumtemperatur in Essigsäure untersucht. Mit den zur Verfügung stehenden Verbindungen konnte eine Neuuntersuchung der thermolytischen Umlagerung von 4-Halogenphenylaziden zu 2-Aminophenolen und anderen Produkten unternommen werden. Diese Umlagerung findet sicherlich statt, allerdings differieren die dabei beobachteten Produkte signifikant von denen, die Suschitzky et al. 1963 und 1966 beschrieben.

The pseudo-quaternary phase diagram of Brij35/sodium oleate/oleic acid/water systems has been investigated, and the liquid crystal area has been identified, which covers about two thirds of the whole phase diagram. The liquid crystal structure and behavior have been also studied by using polarizing texture, small angle X-ray scattering, 2H-NMR and rheometer etc. The result shows that when the composition of the system changes along the line of AA′ in this large liquid crystal region, the structural change is cubic→cubic/lamellar→lamellar→lamellar/hexagonal→hexagonal. Meanwhile, we made the first attempt of systematic study of the rheological properties of the above system. The lattice constants of cubic and hexagonal liquid crystals are 10.53 and 5.68 nm, respectively.  相似文献

The CD spectra of 16 naturally occurring sesquiterpene-umbelliferone ethers, including the complete set of farnesiferol A isomers with all acetates and 6-oxoderivatives, are reported over the significant wavelength range of 350–200 nm. 11 compounds were isolated from an Asa Foetida sample and 5 further derivatives, already known as natural products, were obtained by acetylation orJones oxidation. In addition, a new compound — kamolonol (14) — was isolated. Its structure is characterized by twofold methyl migration in the drimenol derived sesquiterpene moiety.1H-NMR, MS, IR, UV, and CD data of the new compound are discussed.Herrn Prof. Dr.K. The diastereomeric 2,3-Dihydrobilatrienes-abc derivatives (4Z, 9Z, 15Z)-7 and (4Z, 9Z, 15E)-7 bearing a cholesterylacetate moiety in position 3 of the chromophore are prepared. The reaction sequence contains an isomerisation step providing quantitative enantioselective formation of the chiral center in position 3. Configurations and conformations of the diastereomers are elucidated using1H- and13C-NMR spectra, NOE-difference spectra, 2D-NMR experiments (NOESY) and arguments from UV-VIS and CD data. It is concluded that the hydrophobic interactions between chromophore and cholesteryl-fragment yield a compact conformation where the two substructures are in close contact with each other. On the other hand these interactions seem to be too weak to induce significant changes in the chemistry, absorption spectra and conformational characterics of the bile pigment chromophore. Therefore hydrophobic interactions between chromophor and apolar amino acid residues of the protein in phytochrome should be of minor relevance for determining spectroscopic shifts.

The reaction of iso-cinnamyl acetate with NaC(Me)(CO2Me)2, catalysed by Pd-‘MOP’ (MOP=2-methoxy-2′-diphenylphosphino-1,1′-binaphthalene) is known to proceed with a regiochemical memory effect that results in the predominant generation of the branched alkylation product. The analogous reaction employing ‘MAP’ as ligand (MAP=2-N,N-dimethylamino-2′-diphenylphosphino-1,1′-binaphthalene) proceeds with ‘normal’ regioselectivity to generate predominantly the linear isomer of product. A 2H-NMR based analysis, employing quadrupolar coupling in a chiral liquid crystal matrix, has been developed to facilitate the simultaneous study of the regiochemical and stereochemical outcome of the reaction of both enantiomers of iso-cinnamyl ester substrates in 2H-labelled but racemic samples. The analysis allows the comparison of relative rates of two competing isomerisation processes occurring in the π-allyl intermediates in the Pd-catalysed reaction, one of which facilitates asymmetric induction, the other resulting in loss of regiochemical memory. It is demonstrated that the two processes are partially coupled and that this then limits the attainment of high global enantiomeric excess in the branched product to reactions that proceed with low regiochemical retention. A key factor for the observation of high regiochemical memory is found to be the nucleophilicity of the malonate anion and the electrophilicity of the Pd-π-allyl intermediate with reduction in the reactivity of either partner resulting in the onset of substantial loss of memory.  相似文献

Summary Procedures were developed for the preparation of the 2-, 3-, 4-, and 6-monosubstituted chloro and bromo 8-quinolinols which afforded greater yields and/or reduced the number of steps in the preparation. 100 MHz1H-NMR spectra for the 12 possible monochloro and monobromo analogues are given.

Summary Oxidation of isobenzofuranone1 yielded in a diastereoselective reaction epoxide2. Acidolysis of2 resulted in a mixture oftrans-glycols6 a (88%) and7 a (4%), which were separated by crystallization. The relative configuration of6 a and7 a at the chiral centers 3 a, 5, 6, and 7 a was determined by1H-NMR-spectroscopy and X-ray analysis of O-acetylated and 7 a-methylated derivatives.

Inclusion complex formation of piromidic acid (PA) with dimethyl--cyclodextrin (DM--CD) in aqueous solution and in the solid state was confirmed by the solubility method, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR) spectroscopy. The apparent stability constant,K c , of the complex was estimated to be 244 M–1. The stoichiometry of the complex was given as the ratio 1:2 of PA to DM--CD. Summary Stepwise electrophilic bromination of hypericin in pyridine as the solvent yields regioselectively 2,5-dibromohypericin, 2,5,9-tribromohypericin, and 2,5,9,12-tetrabromohypericin. The compounds were characterized by means of NMR-, UV-Vis-, and fluorescence-spectra, andpK a andpK* a measurements. These properties were compared with those of hypericin on the one hand and of the recently isolated gymnochromes on the other hand.

Zusammenfassung Schrittweise elektrophile Bromierung von Hypericin in Pyridin als Lösungsmittel liefert regioselektiv 2,5-Dibromhypericin, 2,5,9-Tribromhypericin und 2,5,9,12-Tetrabromhypericin. Diese Verbindungen wurden durch NMR-, UV-Vis- und Fluoreszenz-Spektrometrie sowie durchpK a - undpk* a -Messungen charakterisiert. Diese Eigenschaften wurden mit jenen des Hypericins und der kürzlich isolierten Gymnochrome verglichen.

The Schiff base of all-trans-retinal was investigated in organic solution by 1H- and 13C-NMR. at high field. Complete assignment of the 1H-NMR. peaks of N-butyl-(all-trans-retinylidene)amine ( 2 ) and the N-butyl-(all-trans-retinylidene)-ammonium ion ( 3 ) was achieved by INDOR (internuclear double resonance). The vicinal proton coupling constants of the polyene chain show that the π-bond orders remain unchanged in N-butyl-(all-trans-retinylidene)amine relative to all-trans-retinal ( 1 ), but change towards larger π-delocalization in the N-butyl-(all-trans-retinylidene)ammonium ion. At ?-61° only one isomer of N-butyl-(all-trans-retinylidene)ammonium was observed. This was shown to be trans at the imine linkage and independent of the solvent. The trifluoroacetic acid counter-ion can approach the positive charge of the N-atom in the weakly polar solvent dichloromethane but not in the leveling solvent methanol. In dichloromethane the nature of the 1:1 complex is a H-bonded (O?…H-N+) ion-pair whose rate of breaking and forming is rapid at RT. Strong stabilization of the ion-pair resulted from homo-conjugation with a second molecule of trifluoroacetic acid. Excess of acid efficiently diminished the isomerization rate at the C,N-bond.  相似文献
