On fractional quantum Hall solitons in ABJM-like theory

Using D-brane physics, we study fractional quantum Hall solitons (FQHS) in ABJM-like theory in terms of type IIA dual geometries. In particular, we discuss a class of Chern-Simons (CS) quivers describing FQHS systems at low energy. These CS quivers come from R-R gauge fields interacting with D6-branes wrapped on 4-cycles, which reside within a blown up CP³ projective space. Based on the CS quiver method and mimicking the construction of del Pezzo surfaces in terms of CP², we first give a model which corresponds to a single layer model of FQHS system, then we propose a multi-layer system generalizing the doubled CS field theory, which is used in the study of topological defect in graphene.     

A Study of Brane Solutions in D-Dimensional Coupled Gravity System

We use only the equation.of motion for an interacting system of gravity, dilaton and antisymmetric tensor to study the soliton solutions by making use of a Poincaré-invariant ansatz. We show that the system of equations is completely integrable and the solution is unique with appropriate boundary conditions. Some new classes of solutions are also given explicitly.     

Lax connections and Solutions of the Hybrid Superstring on AdS2×S2

In this paper, we show that the Lax connections can yield new classical solutions with a spectral parameter of the hybrid formulism for the Type IIB superstring in an AdS ₂ × S ² background with Ramond-Ramond flux. This series of classical solutions have the same infinite set of classically conserved charges.

Quantum string cosmologies

Different models of quantum string minisuperspaces for both isotropic and anisotropic geometries are presented. As for the isotropic case the general model of axion‐dilaton cosmology of arbitrary curvature is studied and solved explicitly. In the anisotropic case Bianchi type I and IX and Kantowski‐Sachs geometries are investigated. A short review of string cosmology is given with the emphasis on its “graceful‐exit” problem. The problems of boundary conditions, wave packets in minisuperspace and possible implications for the arrow of time in cosmology are briefly discussed.     

Flat Currents of Green-Schwarz Superstring in AdS2 × S2 Background

From the κ symmetric action of ⅡB string in AdS2 × S2 background given by Zhou, we derive the equations of motion. By using the twisted dual transformation which was introduced by Hou, we construct the flat currents, conserving non-local charge with one free parameter, for the superstring in AdS2 × S2.
