A highly sensitive method for infrared radiation detection based on thermal resonance in an active bolometer is set forth. An active bolometer is a self-oscillating system consisting of an IR-sensitive cell in a feedback circuit of an adjustable proportional controller. The analysis of an active bolometer autonomous (dark) dynamics reveals that with a generalized gain factor A variation the system evolves from relaxation type towards oscillating and self-oscillating type. When A=Ac, where Ac is a critical value of the generalized gain factor A, the steady state loses stability through self-excited thermal oscillations. The resonance in a system weakly perturbed by IR radiation modulated at self-oscillation frequency q0[1+exp(iωct)] is considered. It is shown that in a small precritical vicinity =(A−Ac)/Ac of the gain factor the amplitude of forced thermal oscillations is proportional to q0/Ac. The D* calculation reveals that the detection power of a passive (A=0) bolometer increases with feedback introduction by a factor of 1/||. The detection powers of feasible versions of an active bolometer are compared. 相似文献

We report on electron g-factor in an InAs-inserted In0.53Ga0.47As/In0.52Al0.48As heterostructure. The gate voltage dependence of g-factor is obtained from the coincidence method. The obtained g-factor values are surprisingly smaller than the g-factor value of bulk InAs, and it is close to the bare g-factor value of In0.53Ga0.47As. The large change in g-factor is observed by applying the gate voltage. The obtained gate voltage dependence is not simply explained by the energy dependence of g-factor. 相似文献

Delayed feedbacks are quite common in many physical and biological systems and in particular many physiological systems. Delay
can cause a stable system to become unstable and vice versa. One of the well-studied non-biological chemical oscillators is
the Belousov-Zhabotinskii (BZ) reaction. This gives relaxation oscillations for a considerable period of time under batch
conditions. This paper deals with the effect of perturbing the limit cycle oscillation of BZ reaction by employing a delayed
electrical feedback to the system under batch conditions. The parameters chosen to study are external resistance and delay.
For various resistances and delays the system was electrically perturbed and found to exhibit various complex mixed mode oscillations.
The dynamic features are accounted for by the Oregonator model, with time delay incorporated in one of the variables.

Three types of dual-frequency oscillations in KBrO3-galactose-acetone-MnSO4-H2SO4 have been observed in a batch reactor depending on the initial concentration of H2SO4 or Br-. Similar phenomena were also observed when galactose was replaced by other aldosugars such as glucose, arabi-nose, lactose and maltose. However no dual-frequency oscillation has been found when ketosugar like fructose was used instead of galactose as the substrate. Both cyclic-voltammetry-based and impedance-based experimental criteria that have been developed recently for the oscillatory electrochemical systems are critically appraised with two typical categories of oscillators.Consistent conclusions can be drawn by the two criteria for the category of oscillators that involve the coupling of charge transfer mainly with surface steps(e.g.ad-and desorption)such as in the electrooxidation of C1 organic molecules.Whereas,impedance-based criterion is not applicable to the category of oscillators that involve the coupling of charge transfer mainly with mass transfer(e.g.diffusion and convection) such as in the Fe(CN)6^3- reduction accompanying periodic hydrogen evolution.The reason is that the negative impedance cannot include the feedback information of convection mass transfer induced by the hydrogen evolution.However,both positive and negative nonlinear feedbacks,i.e., the diffusion-limited depletion and convection-enhanced replenishment of the Fe(CN)6^3- surface concentration,that coexist between the bistability,i.e.,Fe(CN)6^3- reduction with and without hydrogen evolution at lower and higher potential sides respectively,are all reflected in the crossed cyclic voltammogram(CCV).It can be concluded that the voltammetry-based criterion(in time domain)is more intuitive,less time-consuming and has a wider range of applications than the impedancebased one (in frequency domain). 相似文献

In the linear inversion of the radial variation of the parameters of the Earth by usingthe observed frequencies of various normal modes of free oscillation of the earth, it is neces-sary to know the values of the kernels of the parameters ρ, μ and λ. This paper describesthe methods of the derivation of the formulas of these kernels. This is the first part of thepaper in which only the toroidal oscillations are considered. They are much simpler thanthose of the spheroidal ones, that we will consider in the second part of the paper.
