Some surface bonded and fluram labeled primary amines show a new red-shifted emission in their fluorescence spectrum. We compared the fluorescence of fluram bonded to various amine functionalized surfaces including tetraethylene pentamine (TEPA), 1,2-ethylene diamine (EDA), 3-aminopropyltriethoxy silane (APTES) and trimetylol-propanetris-(beta-aziridino)-propionate (ATA). All reactions were also monitored using XPS. It was found that the new spectral features seem to be related to the local density of amino groups on the surface. In order to verify this hypothesis we synthesized a surface bonded dendrimer with a step-wise increasing NH2 density. Using molecules with different lengths as branches in the dendrimer, the amine density can be varied. Only in the case of the highest density, the new fluorescence emission was detected. Consequently, the fluorescence of fluram coupled to amines at a surface can be used to quantify the concentration of these amines and the appearance of the red-shifted emission indicates a high local density of the amino groups. 相似文献

Spectrofluorimetric Evaluation of Total Aliphatic and Aromatic Amines in Well Waters and Wastewaters
《Analytical letters》2012,45(12):2093-2103
Abstract A simple and rapid spectrofluorimetric method is described for the determination of aliphatic and aromatic amines on the basis of ammonia and aniline, respectively. Aromatic amines in samples were reacted at pH 5.5 with fluram immoblised on an Octadecylsilane Solid Phase Extraction (ODS-SPE) cartridge. The produced pyrrolinones were adsorbed on SPE and separated from the aliphatic amines. Analysis of these compounds was carried out by elution of SPE with 1 ml Tetrahydrofuran (THF) and determination of fluorescence intensity at excitation wavelength 400 nm and emission wavelength 475 nm. Aliphatic amines after passing from SPE were collected and reacted with fluram at pH 9.2, and extracted into dichloromethane at pH 3 and quantitated fluorimetrically. Linear dynamic ranges and detection limits (LOD) were 1–20, 0.43 mg 1?1 and 1-200, 0.39 μg 1?1 for ammonia and aniline, respectively. The proposed method was successfuly applied for the evaluation of these compounds in local well waters and municipality wastewaters. 相似文献

A high resolution liquid chromatographic method is described for determination of low molecular weight (LMW) aliphatic amines in environmental waters. The analytes after isolation are derivatized by fluram and separated with isocratic elution on octyl (C8) column, followed by fluorimetric detection in 395/495 nm. Different isolation procedures such as octadecylsilane (ODS) and strong cation exchanger (SCX) solid phase extraction (SPE) cartridges and Amberlite CG-120 resin were evaluated. The quantitative characteristics such as recovery, linear dynamic range, correlation coefficient, limit of detection (LOD), and relative standard deviation (RSD) are presented. Using this method, aliphatic amines were analyzed in rain and tap water as well as in waste water. 相似文献
