Summary Some newmono- andbis-benzothiazolyl compounds with furan or thiophene nuclei were synthesized by multistep reactions from the corresponding furan and thiophene aldehydes. The data obtained from emission spectra show a large influence of the benzothiazole rings on the relative quantum efficiency of the compounds under investigation.

The starting material O‐protected glycosyl isothiocyanate ( 1?3 ) was refluxed with 1,4‐diaminobenzene in CHCl3 under nitrogen atmosphere to give 1,4‐bis(N‐glycosyl)thioureidobenzene ( 4?6 ). Then 1,4‐bis[N‐(4/6‐substituted benzothiazole‐2‐yl)‐N′‐glycosylguanidino]benzenes ( 8a?8e , 9a?9e , 10a?10e ) were obtained in good yield by reaction of compounds ( 4?6 ) with 2‐amino‐4/6‐benzothizoles ( 7a?7e ) and HgCl2 in the presence of TEA in DMF. The structures of all 18 new compounds were confirmed by IR, 1H NMR, LC‐MS and elemental analysis. The bioactivity of anti‐HIV‐1 protease (HIV‐1 PR) and against angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) have been evaluated. 相似文献

The title compound 2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)benzo[d]oxazole-6-carbaldehyde (1a) was synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1a possesses intramolecular C–H···O and O–H···N hydrogen bonds, which generate S(5) and S(6) rings, respectively. Intermolecular π–π stacking is observed in the crystal structure, which links a pair of molecules into a cyclic centrosymmetric dimer. The crystal structure is further stabilized by three different intermolecular C–H···O hydrogen bonds, which link the molecules into a continuous three-dimensional framework. Its spectroscopic properties and complementary density functional theory (DFT) calculations are also reported. 相似文献

For efficient and quantitative DNA detection, fluorescence staining is the most often explored approach, which relies on non-covalent binding of dyes with double stranded DNA (dsDNA). Ethidium bromide (EB) is the most classic DNA stain, but suffers from its high carcinogenicity. A series of less toxic alternatives were developed, many of which contain the core structure of the benzothiazole ring. However, the relationship between the structure and the DNA detection performance was not illustrated. Herein, five benzothiazole dyes, namely thiazole orange, SYBR Green I, PicoGreen, SYBR Safe, and thioflavine-T, were compared for DNA detection through direct fluorescence and gel electrophoresis, with particular focus on the structure-performance relationship. It turned out that SYBR Green I is currently the best choice for DNA detection. The results in this work may be useful for future DNA-staining dye developments. 相似文献

AbstractIn this study, a novel series of benzothiazole-thiazolylhydrazine (3a–3i) was synthesized and their structures were characterized by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR spectrometry, and mass spectroscopy. These compounds were evaluated as inhibitors of type A and type B monoamine oxidase (MAO) enzymes. The most active compound 3b (2-((2-(2-(4-(4-Nitrophenyl)thiazol-2-yl)hydrazineylidene)-2-phenylethyl)thio)benzothiazole) showed strong inhibitory activity at hMAO-A (IC50 of 0.095?±?0.004?µM). Furthermore, compound 3i (2-((2-(2-(4-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)thiazol-2-yl)hydrazineylidene)-2-phenylethyl)thio)benzothiazole) showed significant inhibition profile on hMAO-A with the IC50 values 0.141?±?0.006?µM. 相似文献

Three novel indolo[3,2-b]carbazoles derivatives were successfully synthesized by condensation reaction and structurally characterized by elemental analysis, mass spectrometry and proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy methods, which belong to donor-π-acceptor systems comprising an indolo[3,2-b]carbazole group as an electron donor and two benzothiazole rings as electron acceptors. The thermal, electrochemical and photophysical properties of the compounds were characterized by thermogravimetric analysis combined with electrochemistry, UV-vis absorption spectroscopy and fluorescence spectroscopy. On the other hand, the geometries, molecular orbitals, charge-injection and transport properties were determined by quantum chemical calculations. The results show that the compounds synthesized exhibit good thermal stability and high fluorescence quantum yields, indicating the potential application as optoelectronic materials. 相似文献

A series of emissive N-tert-butyloxycarbonyl benzyl ester asparagines bearing benzothiazole and benzimidazole units at the side chain, functionalised with electron donor or acceptor groups, were evaluated as novel amino acid based fluorimetric chemosensors for transition metal cations, such as Cu2+, Zn2+, Co2+ and Ni2+. Selective removal of the protecting groups at the N- and C-terminals was carried out in order to assess the influence of the presence of blocking groups on the overall coordination ability. The results indicate that there is a strong interaction through the donor N, O and S atoms at the side chain of the various asparagines, with high selectivity towards Cu2+ in a 1:1 complex stoichiometry. Association constants and detection limits for Cu2+ were calculated. The photophysical and metal ion sensing properties of these asparagines suggest that they can be suitable for incorporation into peptidic chemosensor frameworks. 相似文献

A series of merocyanines with a benzothiazolylidene donor and a quinoidal thiazole moiety have been synthesized. Experimental results and theoretical calculations show that these compounds have zwitterionic ground states and negative second-order optical nonlinearities. Unlike most merocyanines, the degree of charge transfer does not decrease on increasing the separation between the donor and the acceptor groups, an unexpected feature related to the presence of the proaromatic thiazole fragment. 相似文献
