Integrated noise model (INM) is the most internationally used software to calculate noise levels near airports. Take off, landing or pass by operations can be modeled by INM, but it does not consider aircrafts taxiing, which, in some cases, can be important to accurately evaluate and reduce airports’ noise assessment.Aircraft taxiing noise emission can be predicted using other prediction tools based on standards that describe sound attenuation during propagation outdoors. But these tools require data inputs that are not known: directivity and sound power levels emitted by aircraft during taxiing. This paper describes methods used to calculate directivity indexes and sound power levels, based on field measurements made in Madrid-Barajas Airport (Spain). Obtained results can be used as inputs for general purpose outdoor sound prediction software, which will be able to evaluate noise at airports vicinity as industrial noise.Directivity and sound power levels have been estimated in octave and third octave band terms, for several aircraft families. 相似文献

An analytic solution of a thin layer bonded on a visco-elastic medium under the action of in-plane and lateral pulse loads is presented. The analysis is based on double integral transforms with respect to space and time. Representative examples are studied and discussed to determine the influence of the (a) damping and elastic coefficients of visco-elastic medium, and (b) in-plane compression and stretching of the thin layer on wave propagation. 相似文献

In this paper we examine a model for the landing procedure of aircrafts at an airport. The characteristic feature here is that due to air turbulence the safety distance between two landing aircrafts depends on the types of these two machines. Hence, an efficient routing of the aircraft to two runways may reduce their waiting time. 相似文献

Airports continuously seek opportunities to reduce the security costs without negatively affecting passenger satisfaction. In this paper, we investigate the possibilities of implementing virtual queuing at airport security lanes, by offering some passengers a time window during which they can arrive to enter a priority queue. This process could result in a smoother distribution of arriving passengers, such that the required security personnel (costs) can be decreased. While this concept has received attention in a number of settings, such as theme parks, virtual queuing at airports bears an additional level of complexity related to the flight schedules, i.e., passengers can only be transferred forward in time to a limited extent, which we denote by the transfer time limit. We conducted a major simulation study in collaboration with a large international airport in Western Europe to determine the potential impact of virtual queuing and find that nearly one million Euro can be saved on security personnel cost without negatively impacting the passenger waiting time. 相似文献

The Taxi Planning studies the aircraft routing and scheduling on the airport ground. This is a dynamic problem, which must be updated almost every time that a new aircraft enters or exits the system. Taxi Planning has been modelled using a linear multicommodity flow network model with side constraints and binary variables. The flow capacity constraints are used to represent the conflicts and competence between aircrafts using a given airport capacity. The “Branch and Bound” and “Fix and Relax” methodologies have been used. The computational tests have been run at the Madrid-Barajas airport, using actual data from the airport traffic. 相似文献

This paper describes a method for the automatic identification of acoustic events using a weighted average of sound pressure and sound intensity measured at the vicinity of airports. The classification is based on the combination of different parameters using a technique conceptually similar to the sensor fusion: the indications of different classifiers are merged using the classification uncertainty as a figure of merit. The method uses the results of a training phase for the observation of statistical distributions of sound pressure and sound intensity related parameters. The different parameters’ weights are computed analyzing the overlap of probability distributions of takeoffs and landings, so that more relevance is given to the quantities presenting a low risk of misclassification. The proposed method does not require any arbitrary assumption about the parameter effectiveness, given that the indications of multiple (potentially infinite) classifiers can be merged together with weights that minimize the chance of misclassification. The method has been validated with measurements performed at the Milan Malpensa airport (Italy). Results outlined that the proposed classification criterion correctly identifies approximately 99% of events. 相似文献

Levels and patterns of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) were studied in surface soil samples collected in the coastal part of Croatia within and surrounding four different airports and in the vicinity of two partially devastated electrical transformer stations. The compounds accumulated from air-dried soil samples by multiple ultrasonic extraction with an n-hexane?:?acetone 1?:?1 mixture were analysed by capillary gas chromatography with electron capture and ion-trap detection. PCBs were quantified against a standard Aroclor 1242/Aroclor 1260 mixture and a standard mixture of 17 individual PCB congeners (IUPAC No.: 28, 52, 60, 74, 101, 105, 114, 118, 123, 138, 153, 156, 157, 167, 170, 180, and 189). The mass fractions of total PCBs in 18 soil samples collected within the airport premises ranged from 3 to 41?327?µg/kg dry weight (dw) (median: 533?µg/kg?dw), and those in 21 samples collected at a distance ranging from several metres to 5?km away from the airport fence, from <1 to 39?µg/kg?dw (median: 5?µg/kg?dw). The highest PCB levels were determined in soils along the airport aprons where the aircrafts were serviced and refuelled. The PCB pattern was very similar to technical Aroclor 1260 in all airport soils. The PCB pattern in 22 soils collected in the vicinity of electrical transformer stations was dominated by congeners contained in Aroclor 1242. These soils contained 7 to >400?µg/kg?dw of total PCBs. One highly PCB-contaminated airport soil sample was analysed for polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDDs) and dibenzofurans (PCDFs). With an international toxic equivalent (I-TEQ) of 9.7?ng/kg?dw, the airport soil contamination was within values typical for urban and rural areas, and the congener patterns gave no clear indication for PCBs as the only source of PCDDs/PCDFs. 相似文献
