GC stationary phases composed of binary mixtures of two polymeric ionic liquids (PILs), namely, poly(1‐vinyl‐3‐hexylimidazolium) bis[(trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl]imide (poly(ViHIm‐NTf2))/poly(1‐vinyl‐3‐hexylimidazolium) chloride (poly(ViHIm‐Cl)) and poly(1‐vinyl‐3‐hexadecylimidazolium) bis[(trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl]imide (poly(ViHDIm‐NTf2))/poly(1‐vinyl‐3‐hexadecylimidazolium) chloride (poly(ViHDIm‐Cl)), were evaluated in terms of their on‐set bleed temperature and separation selectivity. A total of six neat or binary PIL stationary phases were characterized using the solvation parameter model to investigate the effects of the polymeric cation and anion and PIL composition on the system constants of the resulting stationary phases. The hydrogen bond basicity of the mixed poly(ViHIm‐NTf2)/poly(ViHIm‐Cl) stationary phases was enriched linearly with the increase in the poly(ViHIm‐Cl) content. Results revealed that tuning the composition of the stationary phase allowed for fine control of the retention factors and separation selectivity for alcohols and carboxylic acids as well as selected ketones, aldehydes, and aromatic compounds. A reversal of elution order was observed for particular classes of analytes when the weight percentage of the chloride‐based PIL was increased.  相似文献

Data have been compiled from the published literature on the partition coefficients of solutes and vapors into anhydrous sulfolane. The logarithms of the water-to-sulfolane partition coefficients, log P, and gas-to-sulfolane partition coefficients, log K, were correlated with the Abraham solvation parameter model. The derived correlations described the observed log P and log K values for solutes dissolved in sulfolane to within average standard deviations of 0.14 log units or less. The log P correlation was extended to include the partition of ions by inclusion of a cation-solvent and an anion-solvent term.  相似文献

A quantum chemical model is introduced to predict the H‐bond donor strength of monofunctional organic compounds from their ground‐state electronic properties. The model covers ? OH, ? NH, and ? CH as H‐bond donor sites and was calibrated with experimental values for the Abraham H‐bond donor strength parameter A using the ab initio and density functional theory levels HF/6‐31G** and B3LYP/6‐31G**. Starting with the Morokuma analysis of hydrogen bonding, the electrostatic (ES), polarizability (PL), and charge transfer (CT) components were quantified employing local molecular parameters. With hydrogen net atomic charges calculated from both natural population analysis and the ES potential scheme, the ES term turned out to provide only marginal contributions to the Abraham parameter A, except for weak hydrogen bonds associated with acidic ? CH sites. Accordingly, A is governed by PL and CT contributions. The PL component was characterized through a new measure of the local molecular hardness at hydrogen, η(H), which in turn was quantified through empirically defined site‐specific effective donor and acceptor energies, EEocc and EEvac. The latter parameter was also used to address the CT contribution to A. With an initial training set of 77 compounds, HF/6‐31G** yielded a squared correlation coefficient, r2, of 0.91. Essentially identical statistics were achieved for a separate test set of 429 compounds and for the recalibrated model when using all 506 compounds. B3LYP/6‐31G** yielded slightly inferior statistics. The discussion includes subset statistics for compounds containing ? OH, ? NH, and active ? CH sites and a nonlinear model extension with slightly improved statistics (r2 = 0.92). © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Comput Chem 2009  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Abraham model correlations are derived for describing gas-to-ionic liquid and water-to-ionic liquid partition coefficients from published experimental data for solutes dissolved in both N-triethyl(octyl)ammonium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide and 1-butyl-3-methyl-pyrrolidinium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide. Derived Abraham model correlations describe the observed partition coefficient data to within 0.13 log units. As part of the current study the existing equation coefficients for the N-triethyl(octyl)ammonium cation were updated and reported for the first time were equation coefficients for the bis(trifluorosulfonyl)imide anion.  相似文献

Experimental solubilities were measured for 20 crystalline organic solutes dissolved in propanenitrile and for 13 crystalline organic solutes dissolved in butanenitrile at 298.15 K. Infinite dilution activity coefficient data for solutes dissolved in propanenitrile and butanenitrile have been compiled from the published chemical and engineering literature and converted into gas-to-liquid partition coefficients and water-to-organic solvent partition coefficients through standard thermodynamic relationships. Abraham model correlations were developed for describing solute transfer into both propanenitrile and butanenitrile by combining our measured solubility data with the partition coefficients that we calculated from the published activity coefficient data. The derived Abraham model correlations were found to back-calculate the observed partition coefficients and molar solubility data to within 0.14 log units.  相似文献

Updated Abraham solvation parameter model correlations are derived for describing the partitioning and solubility behaviour of organic nonelectrolyte solutes and inorganic gases in both anhydrous butanone and cyclohexanone solvents. The butanone and cyclohexanone correlations are based on data sets that contain 103 and 72 experimental data points, respectively. The derived correlations for butanone describe the experimental partitioning and solubility behaviour to within a standard deviation of 0.145 log units. A slightly smaller standard deviation of 0.135 was observed between the experimental and back-calculated values for the cyclohexanone solvent correlation equations.  相似文献
