In this paper the new continuum traffic flow model proposed by Jiang et al is developed based on an improved car-following model, in which the speed gradient term replaces the density gradient term in the equation of motion. It overcomes the wrong-way travel which exists in many high-order continuum models. Based on the continuum version of car-following model, the condition for stable traffic flow is derived. Nonlinear analysis shows that the density fluctuation in traffic flow induces a variety of density waves. Near the onset of instability, a small disturbance could lead to solitons determined by the Korteweg-de-Vries (KdV) equation, and the soliton solution is derived. 相似文献

A vu-decomposition method for solving a second-order cone problem is presented in this paper. It is first transformed into a nonlinear programming problem. Then, the structure of the Clarke subdifferential corresponding to the penalty function and some results of itsvu-decomposition are given. Under a certain condition, a twice continuously differentiable trajectory is computed to produce a second-order expansion of the objective function. A conceptual algorithm for solving this problem with a superlinear convergence rate is given. 相似文献

Temperature dependence of ratio between dielectric anisotropy and order parameter of fluorinated nematic liquid crystal is investigated by using a semi-empirical molecular orbital package that can accurately calculate an angle between molecular dipole moment and long axis. We optimize the molecular conformations with three semi-empirical Hamiltonians AM1, PM3 and PM5, and then make a comparison between computational results and experimental measurements. It is shown that the results obtained from AM1 method are in good agreement with the measurements. The present study offers an applicable method to predict the dielectric properties of liquid crystal material. 相似文献

This paper is to study the convergence and superconvergence of rectangular finite elements under anisotropic meshes. By using of the orthogonal expansion method, an anisotropic Lagrange interpolation is presented. The family of Lagrange rectangular elements with all the possible shape function spaces are considered, which cover the Intermediate families, Tensor-product families and Serendipity families. It is shown that the anisotropic interpolation error estimates hold for any order Sobolev norm. We extend the convergence and superconvergence result of rectangular finite elements to arbitrary rectangular meshes in a unified way. 相似文献
