RELATIVELY WEAKLY COMPACT SETS IN THE DEN JOY SPACE

Some topological Properties of the completion H of the Denjoy space are studied. In particular sufficient conditions for a subsets of H be relatively compact and characterizations for a subsets of H be restively weakly compact are given.

无穷区间上两类抽象无界函数族相对紧的判定及其应用

给出了无穷区间上抽象无界连续函数族和抽象无界可微函数族相对紧性判定的充要条件,并应用它获得了无穷区间上二阶微分方程两点边值问题无界解的存在性.     

On the Bishop boundary in topological algebras

We characterize the existence of the Bishop boundary in the context of an Urysohn (topological) algebra, by means ofG _δ points. Considering a subset of its spectrum and the restriction of its Gel'fand transform algebra on the previous subset, we realize its Bishop boundary, as the trace of the Bishop boundary of the initial algebra on the spectrum of the restriction algebra. We get a generalization of the latter by considering a continuous algebra morphism. This paper is based on and extends results of the author's Doctoral Thesis, written under the supervision of Professor A. Mallios (Univ. of Athens).     

Geometry of minimal flows

Our main result is that for a minimal flow φ on a compact manifold M, either M is a torus and the flow is topologically conjugate to an irrational flow, or M is not a torus and every parametrization of φ has sensitive dependence on initial conditions. Our results depend heavily on the work of Lopez and Candel.

Existence of Positive Solutions for N-term Non-autonomous Fractional Differential Equations

Existence of positive solutions for the nonlinear fractional differential equation D ^αu = f(x,u), 0 < α < 1 has been given (S. Zhang. J. Math. Anal. Appl. 252 (2000), 804–812) where D ^α denotes Riemann–Liouville fractional derivative. In the present work we extend this analysis for n-term non autonomous fractional differential equations. We investigate existence of positive solutions for the following initial value problem

This paper deals with the existence of e-positive mild solutions（see Definition 1）for the initial value problem of impulsive evolution equation with noncompact semigroup u（t）＋ Au（t）= f（t,u（t））,t ∈ [0,＋∞）,t = tk,u-t=tk = Ik（u（tk））,k = 1,2,...,u（0）= x0 in an ordered Banach space E.By using operator semigroup theory and monotonic iterative technique,without any hypothesis on the impulsive functions,an existence result of e-positive mild solutions is obtained under weaker measure of noncompactness condition on nonlinearity of f.Particularly,an existence result without using measure of noncompaceness condition is presented in ordered and weakly sequentially complete Banach spaces,which is very convenient for application.An example is given to illustrate that our results are more valuable.
