Electrolytic reduction of molybdophosphate in aqueous acetonitrile and its application to flow-coulometric determination of orthophosphate

The formation and electrolytic reduction of molybdophosphate in aqueous solutions of various water-miscible organic solvents have been extensively investigated. Acetonitrile was found to be the most useful of these solvents. Two species of molybdophosphate are formed in aqueous acetonitrile, one of which changes spontaneously into the other, which is quite stable and undergoes a 2-electron electrolytic reduction. On the basis of these facts, a flow-coulometric method for orthophosphate has been developed, applicable to the range 5 × 10⁻⁶-1 × 10⁻³M. It has been used for determination of orthophosphate in several phosphorus compounds, some of which are acid-labile.

一个超前有奖迟后受罚的排序问题

本文考虑货物装卸管理中船主和港口之间的下述相互制约关系；有n条船在同一时刻到达同一港口，因而也希望在同一时刻完成装卸货物。如某船的货物不能如期装卸完，船主会向港方索取赔偿，反之，如货物提前装卸完，则船主会向港方付取奖金，因此从港方来说是适当考虑n条船的一个装卸程序以使总费用最少。对这样一个NP－困难的排序问题，本文给出了一个动态规划解法，且在逆一致性条件下给出了一伪多项式时间的动态规划算法。     

The equal award principle in problems with constraints and claims

In this paper we study how, under the equal award principle, to distribute a resource among different agents with a claim on it, when there are some constraints in the problem. Some properties of the rule are given as well as an axiomatic characterisation.     

HFO-1234yf as a CF3 Building Block: Synthesis of Trifluoromethyl Quinoline and Chromene Derivatives from Trifluoromethyl-ynones

Trifluoromethyl ynones derived from the refrigerant gas HFO-1234yf (2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene) react with nucleophiles via a Michael-type addition process and the allenolate intermediate formed reacts intramolecularly with a carbonyl group to form heterocyclic derivatives. Thus, reaction of 2-amino and 2-hydroxyl benzaldehyde or ketone substrates with trifluoromethyl ynone derivatives gives trifluoromethyl quinoline and chromene products by a one-pot tandem ring closing sequence, forming pharmaceutically relevant structures from an inexpensive starting material without the need for transition metals or column chromatography. The 2-trifluoromethylquinoline products also show unusual fluxional behaviour, which was explored through 2-D NMR and X-ray crystallographic studies.
