集中载荷作用下圆拱梁的静分叉问题

采用有限元法中的伪弧长算法研究了集中载荷作用下圆拱的大范围非线性问题,给出了临界载荷与圆心角间的关系曲缄以及极值分叉与简单分叉的分界点,并对屈曲后的变形进行了追踪,文中首先简述伪弧长算法,然后给出了计算结果。     

Convolution with measures on flat curves in low dimensions

We prove Lp→Lq convolution estimates for the affine arclength measure on certain flat curves in Rd when d∈{2,3,4}. For d=2,3, we also establish certain related Lorentz space estimates.     

Circular symmetrization,subordination and arclength problems on convex functions

We study the class of univalent analytic functions f in the unit disk of the form satisfying where Ω will be a proper subdomain of which is starlike with respect to . Let be the unique conformal mapping of onto Ω with and and . Let denote the arclength of the image of the circle , . The first result in this paper is an inequality for , which solves the general extremal problem , and contains many other well‐known results of the previous authors as special cases. Other results of this article cover another set of related problems about integral means in the general setting of the class .     

Time,gravity and the exterior angle of parallelism

Applying calculus to the horizontal and vertical unit hyperbolas we derive the obtuse exterior and the acute angle of parallelism formulas for the arc length of a unit circle. When the analogous arc length of a hyperbola is figured, we further define metric distance with radian measure. Employing a non-conventional velocity of light formula, we explain several aspects of physics with a logical geometry. The hyperbolic geometry Lobacevskii angle of parallelism is mathematically measured to agree with the physical measure, without using the gravitational constant, but rather the electromagnetic spectrum and geodesics. Space is hereby measured with units of radians and time. Half-angle formulas for slopes and boosts pertain to spinor algebra. The new light velocity is justified when its derivative results in Einstein's mass–energy formula. Relativity is reformulated with these half-angle formulas.     

Newton's method based on bifurcation for solving multiple solutions of nonlinear elliptic equations

On the basis of bifurcation theory, we use Newton's method to compute and visualize the multiple solutions to a series of typical semilinear elliptic boundary value problems with a homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition in . We present three algorithms on the basis of the bifurcation method to solving these multiple solutions. We will compute and visualize the profiles of such multiple solutions, thereby exhibiting the geometrical effects of the domains on the multiplicity. The domains include the square, disk, symmetric or nonsymmetric annuli and dumbbell. The nonlinear partial differential equations include the Lane–Emden equation, concave–convex nonlinearities, Henon equation, and generalized Lane–Emden system. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
