WEAK CONVERGENCE FOR NON-UNIFORM φ-MIXING RANDOM FIELDS

Let $\{\xi_{\bold t}, {\bold t} \in {\bold Z}^d\}$ be a nonuniform $\varphi$-mixing strictly stationary real random field with $E\xi_{\bold 0}=0, E|\xi_{\bold 0}|^{2+\delta}<\infty$ for some $0<\delta<1$. A sufficient condition is given for the sequence of partial sum set-indexed process $\{Z_n(A),\ A\in \Cal A\}$ to converge to Brownian motion. By a direct calculation, the author shows that the result holds for a more general class of set index ${\Cal A}$, where ${\Cal A}$ is assumed only to have the metric entropy exponent $r, 0相似文献   

FORMATION OF SINGULARITIES FOR A KIND OF QUASILINEAR NON－STRICTLY HYPERBOLIC SYSTEM

The author gets a blow-up result of C1 solution to the Cauchy problem for a first order quasilinear non-strictly hyperbolic system in one space dimension.     

Conceptual continuity as a mode of understanding complex systems: Applications to the dynamics sociopolitical systems

In complex biological systems, entities that are conceptually distinct but empirically related—such as sunlight and plant growth or antigene and immune response—are being explicitly linked through the identification of highly specific uninterrupted interaction sequences that take place between their macromolecular system components. These uninterrupted sequences of causation include common elements that are shared by the empirically related but conceptually distinct entities. Through the identification of specific shared elements, “conceptual continuity” is established between these entities. Examples are introduced to suggest that in sociopolitical systems, an analogous conceptual continuity can be established between distinct sociopolitical entities. The identification of specific shared elements, essential for the well being of each of the entities, can play a significant role in resolving conflicts between those separated by seemingly insurmountable obstacles such as race or religion or ideology. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This paper is a continuation of the authors'previous paper[1].In this paper the authorsprove,assuming additional conditions on the initial data,some results about the existence anduniqueness of the entropy weak solutions of the Cauchy problem for the singular hyperbolicsystem a_t+(au)_x_2au/x=0,u_t+1/2(a~2+u~2)_x=0,x>0,t≥0.     

Banach空间中渐近正则半群的不动点定理

设X是p一致凸Banach空间,具有弱一致正规结构与非严格的Opial性质.又设C是X的非空凸弱紧子集.在适当的条件下,证明了C上每个渐近正则半群T={T(t):t∈S}都有不动点进一步,在类似的条件下,也讨论了一致凸Banach空间中渐近正则半群的不动点的存在性.     

Instability of quark matter core in a compact newborn neutron star with moderately strong magnetic field

It is explicitly shown that if phase transition occurs at the core of a newborn neutron star with moderately strong magnetic field strength, which populates only the electron’s Landau levels, then in the β -equilibrium condition, the quark core is energetically much more unstable than the neutron matter of identical physical condition.     

Preservation of Lipschitz constants by Bernstein type operators

Summary We obtain preservation inequalities for Lipschitz constants of higher order in simultaneous approximation processes by Bernstein type operators. From such inequalities we derive the preservation of the corresponding Lipschitz spaces.

该文讨论四阶常微分方程边值问题u^(4)(t)=f(t,u,u″), t∈［0,1］,u(0)=u(1)=u″(0)=u″(1)=0解的存在性, 其中f(t,u,v):［0,1］×R×R→R为Carathéodory函数. 在不限制f关于u,v的增长阶, 不假定f关于u,v的单调性的一般情形下, 用上下解方法获得了解的存在性结果,并讨论了单调迭代求解的有效性.
