We derived the WKB wave function for the general time-dependent quadratic Hamiltonian system using a unitary transformation method. We applied our research to sinusodially drived Caldirola–Kanai oscillator and confirmed that the time evolution of our approximated WKB wave function is similar to that of the exact one. This wave function can be used to analyze the interference between the probability amplitudes contributed by the area of overlap in phase space of quantum states. 相似文献

We consider the plane-strain buckling of a cylindrical shellof arbitrary thickness which is made of a Varga material andis subjected to an external hydrostatic pressure on its outersurface. The WKB method is used to solve the eigenvalue problemthat results from the linear bifurcation analysis. We show thatthe circular cross-section buckles into a non-circular shapeat a value of µ1 which depends on A1/A2 and a mode number,where A1 and A2 are the undeformed inner and outer radii, andµ1 is the ratio of the deformed inner radius to A1. Inthe large mode number limit, we find that the dependence ofµ1 on A1/A2 has a boundary layer structure: it is constantover almost the entire region of 0 < A1/A2 < 1 and decreasessharply from this constant value to unity as A1/A2 tends tounity. Our asymptotic results for A1 1 = O(1) and A1 1 = O(1/n) are shown to agree with the numerical resultsobtained by using the compound matrix method. 相似文献

The solution of a generalized non-relativistic Schrödinger equation with radial potential energy V(r)=V

0)2–2 is presented. After reviewing the general properties of the radial ordinary differential equation, power series solutions are developed. The Green's function is constructed, its trace and the trace of its first iteration are calculated, and the ability of the traces to provide upper and lower bounds for the ground eigenvalue is examined. A quantum dynamical equation is constructed as the limit of a sequence of functions (called Semiquantum momentum functions or SQMF). The quantum action variable J is defined as the limit of the sequence of contour integrals of SQMFs such that the quantization condition is J = n, where n is a nonnegative integer for eigenvalues and a noninteger for off eigenvalues. This quantization condition is exact and J is an analytic function of energy. Based on new definitions, an accurate numerical method is developed for obtaining eigenenergies. The method can be applied to both real and PT symmetric complex potentials. The validity and the accuracy of this new method is demonstrated with three illustrations. 相似文献

The isomonodromy deformation method is applied to the scaling limits in the linear N×N matrix equations with rational coefficients to obtain the deformation equations for the algebraic curves that describe the local behavior of the reduced versions for the relevant isomonodromy deformation equations. In this paper, we propose a novel analytic transfer matrix method (ATMM) to the analysis of planar waveguides with index discontinuity or index slope discontinuity, for the cases when the conventional WKB method is no longer valid. We also analyze the physical insight of the approximations in WKB theory, and according to our research, the phase shift at the turning point is not /2, but exactly . Test calculations are done for an index profile with a known solution and the comparison shows that our method gives extremely accurate propagation constant. 相似文献
