Lie algebras and separable morphisms in pro-affine algebraic groups

ON THE SUPERSTABILITY OF THE PEXIDER TYPE GENERALIZED TRIGONOMETRIC FUNCTIONAL EQUATIONS

The aim of this paper is to investigate the superstability problem for the pexiderized trigonometric functional equation∑ v∈Φ∫Kf(xkv(y)k-1)dwK(k)= Φ g(x)h(y), x, y ∈ G,where G is any topological group, K is a compact subgroup of G, ωK is the normalized Haar measure of K, Φ is a finite group of K-invariant morphisms of G and f, g, h are continuous complex-valued functions.Consequently, we have generalized the results of stability for d'Alembert's and Wilson's equations by R. Badora, J. Baker, B. Bouikhalene, P. Gavruta, S. Kabbaj, Pl. Kannappan, G. H.Kim, J.M. Rassias, A. Roukbi, L. Sz′ekelyhidi, D. Zeglami, etc.     

The Ihara zeta function of the complement of a semiregular bipartite graph

We study the Ihara zeta function of the complement of a semiregular bipartite graph. A factorization formula for the Ihara zeta function is derived via which the number of spanning trees is computed. For a class of complements of semiregular bipartite graphs, it is shown that they have the same Ihara zeta function if and only if they are cospectral.     

Spectra of semi-regular polytopes

We compute the spectra of the adjacency matrices of the semi-regular polytopes. A few different techniques are employed: the most sophisticated, which relates the 1-skeleton of the polytope to a Cayley graph, is based on methods akin to those of Lovász and Babai ([L], [B]). It turns out that the algebraic degree of the eigenvalues is at most 5, achieved at two 3-dimensional solids.Dedicated to the memory of R. MañéResearch supported by MCT and CNPq, Brazil.     

Harmonic morphisms from the Grassmannians and their non-compact duals

In this paper we give a unified framework for the construction of complex valued harmonic morphisms from the real, complex and quaternionic Grassmannians and their non-compact duals. This gives a positive answer to the corresponding open existence problem in the real and quaternionic cases. On Aperiodic Relational Morphisms

We characterize aperiodic relational morphisms as those that are injective on regular $\H$-classes. This result is applied to obtain simple proofs and generalizations of McAlisters results on joins of aperiodic semigroups and groups. Also, we show that if $\pv H$ is a proper, non-trivial pseudovariety of groups, then \[\pv A\ast \pv H\subsetneq (\pv A\ast \pv G)\cap \ov {\pv H}.\] We provide coordinate-free formulations and proofs of Rhodess Presentation Lemma and generalizations. As an application, we give simpler proofs of Tilsons theorem on the complexity of semigroups with at most $2$ non-zero $\J$-classes and Rhodess theorem that complexity is not local.     

ON THE MAPPING OF JET SPACES

Any locally invertible morphism of a finite-order jet space is either a prolonged point transformation or a prolonged Lie's contact transformation (the Lie–Bäcklund theorem). We recall this classical result with a simple proof and moreover determine explicit formulae even for all (not necessarily invertible) morphisms of finite-order jet spaces. Examples of generalized (higher-order) contact transformations of jets that destroy all finite-order jet subspaces are stated with comments.     

Classification and Liouville type theorems for <Emphasis Type="Italic">p</Emphasis>-harmonic morphisms

We prove firstly the classification theorem for p-harmonic morphisms between Euclidean domains. Secondly, we show that if is a p-harmonic morphism (p ≥ 2) from a complete Riemannian manifold M of nonnegative Ricci curvature into a Riemannian manifold N of non-positive scalar curvature such that the L ^q -energy is finite, then is constant, which improve the corresponding result due to G. Choi, G. Yun in (Geometriae Dedicata 101 (2003), 53–59).
