Domain decomposition for an asymptotic geological fault modeling

We present in this paper a domain decomposition method to treat faults in geological basin modeling. The particularity of this model is that the faults whose widths are very small in comparison with the basin size, are not characterized as subdomains any more but as interfaces between sedimentary blocks. The originality of this work lies in the formulation of this new fault model and in the definition and the computation of the interface conditions between the subdomains. 储蓄——收入模型的转变点分析

本文利用线性回归模型分析改革开放以来我国居民储蓄与收入的关系 ,并引入转变点理论研究二者关系发生结构性转变的问题 ,最后讨论了影响储蓄增长的几个因素 .实证研究表明 ,90年代以来 ,随着经济环境的巨大变化 ,居民储蓄与收入的关系有所改变 ,储蓄的增长速度已经超过了收入的增长速度 .我们的研究还表明 ,当用时间跨度较大的样本时 ,结论虽符合长期趋势 ,但考虑到其可信度及从时效性角度看对近期宏观政策的现实指导意义 ,常规的回归分析应该加入转变点检验 ,以防忽略系统结构性转变 .     

An overlapping additive Schwarz preconditioner for interpolation on the unit sphere with spherical radial basis functions

The problem of interpolation of scattered data on the unit sphere has many applications in geodesy and Earth science in which the sphere is taken as a model for the Earth. Spherical radial basis functions provide a convenient tool for constructing the interpolant. However, the underlying linear systems tend to be ill-conditioned. In this paper, we present an additive Schwarz preconditioner for accelerating the solution process. An estimate for the condition number of the preconditioned system will be discussed. Numerical experiments using MAGSAT satellite data will be presented.     

Parallel Schwarz alternating methods for anisotropic diffusion of speckled medical images

This paper deals with ultrasound medical image processing, particularly to filter the noise while preserving the edges and structures of information. The mathematical processing consists in solving by a numerical way a nonlinear evolutive boundary value problem. Several numerical semi-implicit time marching schemes are considered and analyzed. At each time step, parallel synchronous or asynchronous Schwarz alternating methods are used to solve the linear system and its convergence is studied. Lastly, the results of sequential and parallel simulations are presented.      

扇形域上高阶Schwarz边值问题

本文主要讨论一类角度为θ=π/α,α≥1/2的扇形域上高阶多解析方程的Schwarz边值问题.通过构造适当的高阶-Schwarz算子和Pompeiu算子,我们给出了详细的解表达式.本文把边值问题进一步推广到高阶情形,丰富了扇形域上边值问题的发展.     

A characteristic nonoverlapping domain decomposition method for multidimensional convection‐diffusion equations

We develop a quasi‐two‐level, coarse‐mesh‐free characteristic nonoverlapping domain decomposition method for unsteady‐state convection‐diffusion partial differential equations in multidimensional spaces. The development of the domain decomposition method is carried out by utilizing an additive Schwarz domain decomposition preconditioner, by using an Eulerian‐Lagrangian method for convection‐diffusion equations and by delicately choosing appropriate interface conditions that fully respect and utilize the hyperbolic nature of the governing equations.
