In a previous paper of the same title the author gave a generalization of the constrution of Donaldson–Friedman, to prove the existence of twistor spaces of n CP 2 with a special kind of divisors. In the present paper, we consider its equivariant version. When n = 3, this gives another proof of the existence of degenerate double solid with C *–action, and we show that the branch quartic surface is birational to an elliptic ruled surface. In case n ≥ 4, this yields new Moishezon twistor spaces with C *–action, which is shown to be the most degenerate ones among twistor spaces studied by Campana and Kreußler.  相似文献

We study the hyperkähler geometry of complex adjoint orbits from the point of view of twistor theory. We introduce, for complex semisimple adjoint orbits, the associated spectral curve and construct the twistor space as a union of certain regular adjoint orbits; we also exhibit the family of twistor lines. Furthermore, we show how our methods may be applied for describing hyperkähler metrics associated to more general spectral curves. In particular, we give an algebraic characterisation of the twistor lines.  相似文献

We prove a Penrose-like inequality for the mass of a large class of constant mean curvature (CMC) asymptotically flat n-dimensional spin manifolds which satisfy the dominant energy condition and have a future converging, or past converging compact and connected boundary of non-positive mean curvature and of positive Yamabe invariant. We prove that for every n ≥ 3 the mass is bounded from below by an expression involving the norm of the linear momentum, the volume of the boundary, dimensionless geometric constants and some normalized Sobolev ratio.  相似文献

This article explores the use of geometric algebra in linear and multilinear algebra, and in affine, projective and conformal geometries. Our principal objective is to show how the rich algebraic tools of geometric algebra are fully compatible with and augment the more traditional tools of matrix algebra. The novel concept of an h-twistor makes possible a simple new proof of the striking relationship between conformal transformations in a pseudo-Euclidean space to isometries in a pseudo-Euclidean space of two higher dimensions. The utility of the h-twistor concept, which is a generalization of the idea of a Penrose twistor to a pseudo-Euclidean space of arbitrary signature, is amply demonstrated in a new treatment of the Schwarzian derivative.  相似文献

In this paper, a simultaneous canonical form of a pair of rectangular complex matrices is developed. Using this new tool we give a necessary and sufficient condition to assure that the reverse order law is valid for the weighted Moore–Penrose inverse. Additionally, we characterize matrices ordered by the weighted star partial order and adjacent matrices as applications.  相似文献

This paper identifies a significant deficiency in the literature on the application of the Relative Gain Array (RGA) formalism in the case of singular matrices. Specifically, it is shown that the conventional use of the Moore–Penrose pseudoinverse is inappropriate because it fails to preserve critical properties that can be assumed in the nonsingular case. It is then shown that such properties can be rigorously preserved using an alternative generalized matrix inverse.  相似文献

Fast algorithms for enclosing the minimum norm least squares solution of the matrix equation AXB = C are proposed. To develop these algorithms, theories for obtaining error bounds of numerical solutions are established. The error bounds obtained by these algorithms are verified in the sense that all the possible rounding errors have been taken into account. Techniques for accelerating the enclosure and obtaining smaller error bounds are introduced. Numerical results show the properties of the proposed algorithms.
