In this paper, we discuss the controllability of a nonlinear degenerate parabolic system with bilinear control. Based on the shrinking property of the solutions, we prove that the system is not globally approximately controllable. Furthermore, we give an approximate null controllability result. The authors consider the exact controllability of the vibrations of a thin shallow shell, of thickness 2εwith controls imposed on the lateral surface and at the top and bottom of the shell. We use the topological tool of Nielsen fixed-point theory to study the controllability of perturbed linear control processes whose control space can be reduced to a finite-dimensional one. These methods produce a lower bound on the number of controls that achieve a given target. In this article, a novel method is proposed for investigating the set controllability of Markov jump switching Boolean control networks (MJSBCNs). Specifically, the switching signal is described as a discrete-time homogeneous Markov chain. By resorting to the expectation and switching indicator function, an expectation system is constructed. Based on the expectation system, a novel verifiable condition is established for solving the set reachability of MJSBCNs. With the newly obtained results on set reachability, a necessary and sufficient condition is further derived for the set controllability of MJSBCNs. The obtained results are applied to Boolean control networks with Markov jump time delays. Examples are demonstrated to justify the theoretical results. 相似文献

This paper studies vague preferences. In contrast to the concept of fuzzy preferences, the more general notion of vague preferences does not entail the assumption that the different degrees of preference are completely ordered. It is shown that the more general concept of a vague preference order arises very naturally in the context of aggregating a set of (exact) weak orders. Furthermore, necessary and sufficient conditions for the rationalizability of an exact choice function by means of a vague preference order are given. It turns out that in the general case these conditions are weaker than in the case where the degrees of preference are completely ordered. Consequently, there exist choice functions which are rationalizable by a general vague preference order but which are not rationalizable by a fuzzy preference order, or more generally by any vague preference order which induces a complete ranking of the degrees of preference.
