 Let kn be positive integers. A finite, simple, undirected graph is called k-critically n-connected, or, briefly, an (n,k)-graph, if it is noncomplete and n-connected and the removal of any set X of at most k vertices results in a graph which is not (n−|X|+1)-connected. This paper defines a set of material compatibility constraints for use in order promising mixed integer programs. The constraints always represent a necessary condition for compatibility and, in certain cases, are both necessary and sufficient. Let G be a graph and f : V(G)→{1,3,5,…}. Then a subgraph H of G is called a (1,f)-odd subgraph if degH(x){1,3,…,f(x)} for all xV(H). If f(x)=1 for all xV(G), then a (1,f)-odd subgraph is nothing but a matching. A (1,f)-odd subgraph H of G is said to be maximum if G has no (1,f)-odd subgraph K such that |K|>|H|. We show that (1,f)-odd subgraphs have some properties similar to those of matchings, in particular, we give a formula for the order of a maximum (1,f)-odd subgraph, which is similar to that for the order of a maximum matching.  相似文献

In environmental chemistry studies, it may be necessary to analyze data sets constituted by different blocks of variables, possibly of different types, measured on the same samples. Multiple factor analysis (MFA) is presented as a tool for exploring such data. The most important features of MFA are shown on a real environmental data set, consisting of two blocks of data, namely heavy metals and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, measured for sediment samples. They are discussed and compared to principal component analysis (PCA). The usefulness of the weighting scheme used in MFA as a preprocessing step for other chemometric methods, such as clustering, is also highlighted.  相似文献

Several reference priors and a general form of matching priors are derived for a stress–strength system, and it is concluded that none of the reference priors is a matching prior. 计算和分析了表面反射特性对选择波段进行目标探测的影响.通过引入正交子空间投影方法,将背景信号从接收到的混合光谱中消除,从而达到压缩背景信号的目的.并在此基础上运用匹配跟踪算法自动地进行优化波段的选择,达到选择最佳波段的目的,从而进行目标探测.在大气外实际目标的探测中,得到了进行大气外目标探测的波段选择与目标表面反射特性的关系.  相似文献

This work describes a new approach to impedance matching for ultrasonic transducers. A single matching layer with high acoustic impedance of 16 MRayls is demonstrated to show a bandwidth of around 70%, compared with conventional single matching layer designs of around 50%. Although as a consequence of this improvement in bandwidth, there is a loss in sensitivity, this is found to be similar to an equivalent double matching layer design. Designs are calculated by using the KLM model and are then verified by FEA simulation, with very good agreement Considering the fabrication difficulties encountered in creating a high-frequency double matched design due to the requirement for materials with specific acoustic impedances, the need to accurately control the thickness of layers, and the relatively narrow bandwidths available for conventional single matched designs, the new approach shows advantages in that alternative (and perhaps more practical) materials become available, and offers a bandwidth close to that of a double layer design with the simplicity of a single layer design. The disadvantage is a trade-off in sensitivity. A typical example of a piezoceramic transducer matched to water can give a 70% fractional bandwidth (comparable to an ideal double matched design of 72%) with a 3 dB penalty in insertion loss.  相似文献
