Tracing is a method of assigning flows in an electricity network to particular generators and loads, assuming perfect mixing at each node. It can be used to assign costs to transmission users. We show that the resulting allocation is equal to the Shapley value of an equivalent co-operative game.  相似文献

Decisions concerning a project’s expedition, traditionally involved considerations regarding time and cost tradeoff. It was recently suggested that the quality of a project should also be taken into considerations. In this paper, we propose a meta-heuristic solution procedure for the discrete time, cost and quality tradeoff problem. This problem involves the scheduling of project activities in order to minimize the total cost of the project while maximizing the quality of the project and also meeting a given deadline. We apply a so called electromagnetic scatter search to solve this problem. In this process, we initially generate a population of feasible solutions. In so doing, we use frequency memory to well sample the feasible region. A number of these solutions are then selected and improved locally. The improved solutions are then combined to generate new set of solutions. The combination process utilizes attraction–repulsion mechanisms borrowed from the electromagnetism theory. The whole process is stopped when no significant improvement in the set of solutions are observed. The validity of the proposed solution procedure is demonstrated, and its applicability is tested on a randomly generated large and complex problem having 19,900 activities.  相似文献

This paper studied the cost allocation for the unfunded liability in a defined benefit pension scheme incorporating the stochastic phenomenon of its returns. In the recent literature represented by Cairns and Parker [Insurance: Mathematics and Economics 21 (1997) 43], Haberman [Insurance: Mathematics and Economics 11 (1992) 179; Insurance: Mathematics and Economics 13 (1993) 45; Insurance: Mathematics and Economics 14 (1994) 219; Insurance: Mathematics and Economics 14 (1997) 127], Owadally and Haberman [North American Actuarial Journal 3 (1999) 105], the fund level is modeled based on the plan dynamics and the returns are generated through several stochastic processes to reflect the current realistic economic perspective to see how the contribution changed as the cost allocation period increased. In this study, we generalize the previous constant value assumption in cost amortization by modeling the returns and valuation rates simultaneously. Taylor series expansion is employed to approximate the unconditional and conditional moments of the plan contribution and fund level. Hence the stability of the plan contribution and the fund size under different allocation periods could be estimated, which provide valuable information adding to the previous works.  相似文献

Level of repair analysis (LORA) is an approach used during the design stage of complex equipment for analysis of the cost effectiveness of competing maintenance strategies. LORA is carried as a part of the life cycle cost and cost of ownership analysis and plays a significant role in minimizing the life cycle cost and cost of ownership of the capital equipment. Since many purchasing decisions of complex equipment are based on cost of ownership, it has become essential to carry out LORA to compete in the market. In this paper, we develop a mathematical model for LORA and propose a solution methodology based on genetic algorithms. The concept is illustrated using a hypothetical aircraft engine.  相似文献

提出了一种基于代价函数和模糊熵的图像分割方法.该方法先用代价函数最小化法对退化的图像作预处理,之后,利用模糊熵作进一步的处理.实验结果表明:新方法和一般的阈值分割方法相比,不但分割图像的错分率较小,而且图像的视觉效果也有较大的改善.  相似文献

It is generally in a firm’s interest for its supply chain partners to invest in innovations. To the extent that these innovations either reduce the partners’ variable costs or stimulate demand for the end product, they will tend to lead to higher levels of output for all of the firms in the chain. However, in response to the innovations of its partners, a firm may have an incentive to opportunistically increase its own prices. The possibility of such opportunistic behavior creates a hold-up problem that leads supply chain partners to underinvest in innovation. Clearly, this hold-up problem could be eliminated by a pre-commitment to price. However, by making an advance commitment to price, a firm sacrifices an important means of responding to demand uncertainty. In this paper we examine the trade-off that is faced when a firm’s channel partner has opportunities to invest in either cost reduction or quality improvement, i.e. demand enhancement. Should it commit to a price in order to encourage innovation, or should it remain flexible in order to respond to demand uncertainty. We discuss several simple wholesale pricing mechanisms with respect to this trade-off.  相似文献

The number of products being radiation processed worldwide is constantly increasing and today includes such diverse items as medical disposables, fruits and vegetables, spices, meats, seafoods and waste products. This range of products to be processed has resulted in a wide range of irradiator designs and capital and operating cost requirements.This paper discusses the economics of low dose food irradiation applications and the effects of various parameters on unit processing costs. It provides a model for calculating specific unit processing costs by correlating known capital costs with annual operating costs and annual throughputs. It is intended to provide the reader with a general knowledge of how unit processing costs are derived.  相似文献

A primal transportation algorithm is devised via post-optimization on the costs of a modified problem. The procedure involves altering the costs corresponding to the basic cells of the initial (primal feasible) solution so that it is dual feasible as well. The altered costs are then successively restored to their true values with appropriate changes in the optimal solution by the application of cell or area cost operators discussed elsewhere. The cell cost operator algorithm converges to optimum within (2T – 1) steps for primal nondegenerate transportation problems and [(2T + 1) min (m, n)] – 1 steps for primal degenerate transportation problems, whereT is the sum of the (integer) warehouse availabilities (also the sum of the (integer) market requirements) andm andn denote the number of warehouses and markets respectively. Cost-sensitive classification is based on a set of weights defining the expected cost of misclassifying an object. In this paper, a Genetic Fuzzy Classifier, which is able to extract fuzzy rules from interval or fuzzy valued data, is extended to this type of classification. This extension consists in enclosing the estimation of the expected misclassification risk of a classifier, when assessed on low quality data, in an interval or a fuzzy number. A cooperative-competitive genetic algorithm searches for the knowledge base whose fitness is primal with respect to a precedence relation between the values of this interval or fuzzy valued risk. In addition to this, the numerical estimation of this risk depends on the entrywise product of cost and confusion matrices. These have been, in turn, generalized to vague data. The flexible assignment of values to the cost function is also tackled, owing to the fact that the use of linguistic terms in the definition of the misclassification cost is allowed.  相似文献

通过正交试验 ,确定了测定环境水样中COD的最佳回流消解条件。以CuSO4作催化剂 ,KAl(SO4) 2 Na2 MoO4作助催化剂 ( 0 1 8gCuSO4·5H2 O 0 1 0gKAl(SO4) 2 ·1 2H2 O 0 1 0gNa2 MoO4·2H2 O) ,在H2 SO4 H3PO4体系中可很好地实现对样品的消解。该体系将回流时间由国标法的 2h缩短至 2 0min ,实现了快速测定的目的且大幅度降低测定成本。样品 1 0次平行测定的相对标准偏差为 1 1 % ;加标回收率为 97 7%~ 1 0 3 3% ,均与国标法无显著性差异  相似文献
