Photoluminescence study in step-graded composition InxAl1−xAs/GaAs

We report on the lattice-mismatched growth of step-graded In_xAl_1−xAs buffer layers on GaAs (0 0 1) substrates by molecular beam epitay (MBE). The approach to growing highly lattice-mismatched epilayers is to interpose a buffer layer between the substrate and the active layer. Two samples G30 and G40 with active layer compositions, respectively, x = 0.46 and x = 0.41, are studied by photoluminescence (PL). At low temperature, the PL spectra show a large broadened band whose energy and intensity depend on the active layer composition. The step-graded layer compositions improved the crystalline quality of these structures and increase the active layer PL band intensity.     

Artinian level modules and cancellable sequences

In order to use dualization to study Hilbert functions of artinian level algebras we extend the notion of level sequences and cancellable sequences, introduced by Geramita and Lorenzini, to include Hilbert functions of certain artinian modules. As in the case of algebras a level sequence is cancellable, but now by dualization its reverse is also cancellable which gives a new condition on level sequences. We also give a characterization of the cancellable sequences involving Macaulay representations.     

A Note on Rings and Modules Graded by Some Special Groups

In this note we prove that the prime madicals of some graded rings and the scoles of some graded modules are also graded. The results on the relations between the prime radical and the graded prime radical are also presented. Moreover, the relations between a graded ring and its initial subring are studied.

本文通过引入弱拟正则元的概念，对一般Ｍｏｎｏｉｄ分次环Ａ（未必有１）给出以内部元素刻划的分次Ｊａｃｏｂｓｏｎ根ＪＧ（Ａ）．证明当Ａ有１时，ＪＧ（Ａ）与通常定义的Ｊｇ（Ａ）相等．对ＪＧ（Ａ）性质的讨论，推广了最近的许多结果．作为应用，我们给出了Ａｒｔｉｎ分次环的全部基本结构定理．     

Graded regulation technology for enhanced oil recovery and water shutoff in pore-cavity-fracture carbonate reservoirs

Although a single type of chemical agent (eg, gels, microspheres, surfactants, etc.) has achieved some effects in enhanced oil recovery of carbonate reservoirs, for pore-cavity-fracture carbonate reservoirs, the use of a single type of chemical agent does not perform well. The main objective of this study is to study the effect of different types of chemical agents in enhanced oil recovery of complex carbonate reservoirs. In order to determine the screening principle of chemical agents, the types of water channeling in the North Troyes reservoir were analyzed. For complex fractures, step by step plugging, multi-agent and multi-slug comprehensive intervention is carried out to ensure the plugging of high-permeability channels and inhibit the seepage of large channels. It can plug channeling fracture channel, adjust secondary dominant channel and reduce matrix flow resistance, so as to expand macroscopic swept volume and improve microscopic water flooding efficiency. The results show that it is difficult to comprehensively control water channeling in pore-cave-fracture carbonate reservoir, and the reservoir heterogeneity in the test area can be improved by mixing different types of control and flooding agents and carrying out deep profile control. The plugging rate of gel is 97.18 %, and the oil–water selection ratio is 0.45 in fractured core; the expansion rate of nano - microspheres is more than 3 times; the wetting modifier can improve the imbibition oil displacement efficiency by 14.76%, and the test result shown that nano - microspheres and wetting modifier have good synergistic oil displacement effect. The field application result shown that daily oil production of oil well in the test area increased by 5.0 m³/d and the daily water rate decreased by 19.0% compared with that before the control flooding. The findings of this study can help for better understanding of enhanced oil recovery in pore-cave-fracture carbonate reservoir.

Electrical and optical properties of Si-doped indium tin oxides as transparent electrode and anti-reflection coating for solar cells

We have studied the electrical and optical properties of Si-doped indium tin oxides (ITSOs) as transparent electrodes and anti-reflection coatings for Si-based solar cells. The ITSO thin films were obtained by co-sputtering of ITO and SiO₂ targets under target power control. The resistivity of the ITSO thin films deposited at 0.625 in terms of power ratio (ITO/SiO₂) were 391 Ωcm. In this condition, the ITSO thin films showed very high resistivity compared to sputted pure ITO thin films (1.08 × 10⁻³ Ωcm). However, refractive index of ITSO thin films deposited at the same condition at 500 nm is somewhat lowered to 1.97 compared to ITO thin films (2.06). The fabricated graded refractive index AR coatings using ITO, ITSO, and SiO₂ thin films kept over 80% of transmittance regardless of their thickness varing from 97 nm to 1196 nm because of their low extinction coefficient. As the AR coating with graded refractive indices using ITO, ITSO, and SiO₂ layers was applied to general silicon-based solar cell, the current level increased nearly twice more than that of bare silicon solar cell without AR coating.

The -th local cohomology module of a finitely generated graded module over a standard positively graded commutative Noetherian ring , with respect to the irrelevant ideal , is itself graded; all its graded components are finitely generated modules over , the component of of degree . It is known that the -th component of this local cohomology module is zero for all > 0$">. This paper is concerned with the asymptotic behaviour of as .

The smallest for which such study is interesting is the finiteness dimension of relative to , defined as the least integer for which is not finitely generated. Brodmann and Hellus have shown that is constant for all (that is, in their terminology, is asymptotically stable for ). The first main aim of this paper is to identify the ultimate constant value (under the mild assumption that is a homomorphic image of a regular ring): our answer is precisely the set of contractions to of certain relevant primes of whose existence is confirmed by Grothendieck's Finiteness Theorem for local cohomology.

Brodmann and Hellus raised various questions about such asymptotic behaviour when f$">. They noted that Singh's study of a particular example (in which ) shows that need not be asymptotically stable for . The second main aim of this paper is to determine, for Singh's example, quite precisely for every integer , and, thereby, answer one of the questions raised by Brodmann and Hellus.
