In this paper, by a different method, we prove: Apart from finitely many explicitly given possibilities, either is irreducible or is linear factor times irreducible polynomial. Generalized quantum measurements with two outcomes are fully characterized by two real parameters, dubbed as sharpness parameter and biasedness parameter and they can be linked with different aspects of the experimental setup. It is known that sharpness parameter characterizes precision of the measurements and decreasing sharpness parameter of the measurements reduces the possibility of probing quantum features like quantum mechanical (QM) violation of local-realism (LR) or macro-realism (MR). Here we investigate the effect of biasedness together with that of sharpness of measurements and find a trade-off between those two parameters in the context of probing QM violations of LR and MR. Interestingly, we also find that the above mentioned trade-off is more robust in the latter case. 相似文献

We present a compared analysis of some properties of 3-Sasakian and 3-cosymplectic manifolds. We construct a canonical connection on an almost 3-contact metric manifold which generalises the Tanaka–Webster connection of a contact metric manifold and we use this connection to show that a 3-Sasakian manifold does not admit any Darboux-like coordinate system. Moreover, we prove that any 3-cosymplectic manifold is Ricci-flat and admits a Darboux coordinate system if and only if it is flat. 相似文献

Most of the literature on spatio-temporal covariance models proposes structures that are positive in the whole domain. However,
problems of physical, biological or medical nature need covariance models allowing for negative values or oscillations from

this type of covariances. We show particular analytical examples that may be of interest in the biometrical context.

Recently Zheng & Hwang established a series of independence theorems concerning with planar effective elastic properties.
It is manifested that the estimation of the effective elastic properties of microcracked solids through the generalized self-consistent
method (GSCM) contradicts with these independence theorems. In this paper it is shown that such contradiction is actually
caused by the approximate algorithm adopted, while the exact solution of GSCM is consistent with these rigorously established
independence theorems. Since only an approximate algorithm in GCSM is available in dealing with problems involving non-circular
inclusions or holes, an intrinsic GSCM is proposed, which can be performed based on an approximate algorithm and the corresponding

The point‐line geometry known as a partial quadrangle (introduced by Cameron in 1975) has the property that for every point/line non‐incident pair (P, ?), there is at most one line through P concurrent with ?. So in particular, the well‐studied objects known as generalized quadrangles are each partial quadrangles. An intriguing set of a generalized quadrangle is a set of points which induces an equitable partition of size two of the underlying strongly regular graph.
