We present a mathematical model to describe the ultrafiltration behaviour of polymer-electrolyte mixtures. The model combines the proper thermodynamic forces (pressure, chemical potential and electrical potential differences) with multicomponent diffusion theory. The model is verified with experimental data on the ultrafiltration of aqueous solutions of PEG-4000 and potassium phosphate. The single solute rejection of PEG-4000 goes through a maximum as also found by others. The single solute rejection of potassium phosphate depends on the ionic strength of the solution. At low ionic strength rejections are found of 50%. Solutions containing a high concentration of PEG-4000 and potassium phosphate show a negative rejection for potassium phosphate. This is caused by the strongly non-ideal behaviour of these aqueous solutions. The model predicts the behaviour of single solute experiments quite well, but some deviations are found with the mixed solute experiments. However, negative rejections found in the mixed solute experiments are predicted by the model.  相似文献

An important aspect of learning is the ability to transfer knowledge to new contexts. However, in dynamic decision tasks, such as bargaining, firefighting, and process control, where decision makers must make repeated decisions under time pressure and outcome feedback may relate to any of a number of decisions, such transfer has proven elusive. This paper proposes a two-stage connectionist model which hypothesizes that decision makers learn to identify categories of evidence requiring similar decisions as they perform in dynamic environments. The model suggests conditions under which decision makers will be able to use this ability to help them in novel situations. These predictions are compared against those of a one-stage decision model that does not learn evidence categories, as is common in many current theories of repeated decision making. Both models' predictions are then tested against the performance of decision makers in an Internet bargaining task. Both models correctly predict aspects of decision makers' learning under different interventions. The two-stage model provides closer fits to decision maker performance in a new, related bargaining task and accounts for important features of higher-performing decision makers' learning. Although frequently omitted in recent accounts of repeated decision making, the processes of evidence category formation described by the two-stage model appear critical in understanding the extent to which decision makers learn from feedback in dynamic tasks. Proficiency testing (PT) is an essential tool used by laboratory accreditation bodies to assess the competency of laboratories. Because of limited resources of PT providers or for other reasons, the assigned reference value used in the calculation of z-score values has usually been derived from some sort of consensus value obtained by central tendency estimators such as the arithmetic mean or robust mean. However, if the assigned reference value deviates significantly from the ‘true value’ of the analyte in the test material, laboratories’ performance will be evaluated incorrectly. This paper evaluates the use of consensus values in proficiency testing programmes using the Monte Carlo simulation technique. The results indicated that the deviation of the assigned value from the true value could be as large as 40%, depending on the parameters of the proficiency testing programmes under investigation such as sample homogeneity, number of participant laboratories, concentration level, method precision and laboratory bias. To study how these parameters affect the degree of discrepancy between the consensus value and the true value, a fractional factorial design was also applied. The findings indicate that the number of participating laboratories and the distribution of laboratory bias were the prime two factors affecting the deviation of the consensus value from the true value.  相似文献

本文对高分子物理实验教学改革进行了思考,提出实验项目的建设应当成为实验教学改革的核心,而实验项目的改革不应当局限在将最新的科研成果引入到实验教学中。以"偏光显微镜观察聚合物的球晶"这一传统实验为例,更为有效的办法可以是通过系统化的设计扩展实验项目内容,注重实验项目实施过程中多知识点的串联以及实验结果获取过程的思维过程培养,从而将传统的验证性实验项目转化为综合性实验项目,有力提升实验教学的效果。  相似文献

准确、简单地预测低温液体无损贮存时的压力升高具有重要的实用价值。对一低温容器利用液氮为介质进行了多次无损贮存实验,利用多元线性回归方法对实验数据进行分析和检验。分析表明无损贮存时间、初始充满率对压力升高的影响较大,而环境温度的影响可以忽略,并拟合出了压力升高的计算公式。计算结果和实验结果在很大范围内能够较好地吻合。该种计算方法在预测低温液体无损贮存压力升高时有较高的准确性与可靠性。  相似文献

为优化火焰原子吸收光谱法测定水溶液中的Cr^3+的测试条件,分别采用单因素简单比较法、正交实验设计极差分析及正交实验回归方法考察了光谱通带n,空心阴极灯电流I,燃烧器高度h以及乙炔/空气流量比P对于仪器灵敏度的影响。结果表明单因素简单比较法获得的实验条件最优。乙炔/空气流量比P对火焰原子吸收仪器灵敏度影响最大、其次是光谱通带n,燃烧器高度h和灯电流I的影响很小。测定水溶液中的Cr^3+时仪器灵敏度最佳的实验条件为:乙炔/空气流量比P=0.4;光谱通带n=0.2nm;灯电流I=5mA;燃烧器高度h=5cm。  相似文献
