When establishing a model of fluid flow in marine modeling, a key issue is the choice between a rigid-lid approach or a free surface level model. This is not a trivial issue as it plays an important role, not only in the choice of the numerical techniques, but also in the qualitative and quantitative aspects of the numerical results. Most software use either free surface or rigid-lid hypotheses, but comparing their results is difficult, since the numerical tools used are in general, extremely different. In this work, some numerical investigations comparing rigid-lid and free surface models are presented. A numerical method using Galerkin's method, but with a new basis, is applied to solve the rigid-lid equations in a realistic domain with varying bottom. A numerical method, similar to the one already used for free surface equations (the same truncating method and precision level) is applied, where the main differences between the simulation results depend only on the model employed. In addition, a comparative simulation between rigid-lid and free surface models to study marine circulation in the bay of Calvi (Corsica) is presented, and numerical results in the non-stratified case only (fluid with constant density) are described, as no further difficulties appear in the stratified case.  相似文献

In this study, discrete element method (DEM) was employed to simulate the movement of non-cohesive mono-dispersed particles in a V-blender along with particle-particle and particle-boundary interactions. To validate the model, DEM results were successfully compared to positron emission particle tracking (PEPT) data reported in literature. The validated model was then utilized to explore the effects of rotational speed and fill level on circulation intensity and axial dispersion coefficient of non-cohesive particles in the V-blender. The results showed that the circulation intensity increased with an increase in the rotational speed from 15 to 60 rpm. As the fill level increased from 20% to 46%, the circulation intensity decreased, reached its minimum value at a fill level of 34% for all rotational speeds, and did not change significantly at fill levels greater than 34%. The DEM results also revealed that the axial dispersion coefficient of particles in the V-blender was a linear function of the rotational speed. These trends were in good agreement with the experimentallv determined values reported bv previous researchers.  相似文献

An automatic technique to get the sensitivity of a margin to instability in natural circulation flows with respect to physical and discretization parameters has been developed. It is based on the use of a tool for the automatic differentiation of FORTRAN codes. ADIFOR was the tool adopted to get the derivatives of model variables with respect to model parameters. In this paper, we present an alternative, simpler, procedure to the authors' previous analysis. It is based in obtaining the derivatives of the Jacobeans matrices automatically. This procedure gives results coincident with the previous ones, allowing for obtaining the desired sensitivities in a somewhat complex problem. It is worth pointing out that the procedure is general enough and may also be applied to other problems.  相似文献

作者曾报道用溶质蒸气循环方式制备液态芳烃的饱和溶液,测出苯、甲苯、二甲苯、卤代苯等液态芳烃在水和硝酸银体系中的溶解度,并计算了上述芳烃与Ag~+配合物的形成常数。 具有C=C双键的许多固态芳烃也象液态芳烃一样可与银离子形成配合物,我们设计了溶质蒸气循环方式制备固态芳烃的装置,该法的最大特点是固态溶质和溶剂不直接接触,可以避免固态溶质颗粒在溶剂中的分散和容器壁上的吸附现象,因此用本法测定的溶解度和配合物的形成常数数据可靠、精确。  相似文献

系统分析了脂肪族、脂环族、共轭和芳香的以及杂环炔类化合物中的炔键对相连质子和碳原子以及炔碳和相关自旋核的化学位移的影响,结果表明,目前化学位移理论中所采用的炔键在磁场中产生垂直于键轴的环流模型与实验结果有严重矛盾.采用三键的去屏蔽作用、SP杂化和核周电子云变形模型则可对实验事实得到较合理的说明.  相似文献

Full field particle image velocimetry (PIV) measurements are obtained for the first time in Richtmyer–Meshkov instability shock tube experiments. The experiments are carried out in a vertical shock tube in which the light gas (air) and the heavy gas (SF6) flow from opposite ends of the shock tube driven section and exit through narrow slots at the interface location. A sinusoidal perturbation is given to the interface by oscillating the shock tube in the horizontal direction. Richtmyer–Meshkov instability is then produced by the interaction with a weak shock wave (M s  = 1.21). PIV measurements are obtained by seeding the flow with 0.30 μm polystyrene Latex spheres which are illuminated using a double-pulsed Nd:YAG laser. PIV measurements indicate the vorticity to be distributed in a sheet-like distribution on the interface immediately after shock interaction and that this distribution quickly rolls up into compact vortices. The integration of the vorticity distribution over one half wave length shows the circulation to increase with time in qualitative agreement with the numerical study of Peng et al. (Phys. Fluids, 15, 3730–3744, 2003).  相似文献
