A Continuation Method of Parameter Inversion for Non-Equilibrium Convection-Dispersion Equation

Based on the homotopy mapping, a globally convergent method of parameter inversion for non-equilibrium convection-dispersion equations （CDEs） is developed. Moreover, in order to further improve the computational efficiency of the algorithm, a properly smooth function, which is derived from the sigmoid function, is employed to update the homotopy parameter during iteration. Numerical results show the feature of global convergence and high performance of this method. In addition, even the measurement quantities are heavily contaminated by noises, and a good solution can be found.

Identical Superdeformed Bands in ^171Ta and ^173Re

The rotational band built on the i13/2 proton [660,1/2] Nilsson state in ^173Re is proven to be identical to that in ^171Ta.The close similarity of the two bands in ^171Ta and ^173Re suggests that the ^173Re nucleus with the odd proton based on the i13/2 [660,1/2] Nilsson state may be triaxially superdeformed.

研究超固体的新方法

所谓超固体（supersolid）是这样一类物质，它们自身具有互斥的性质：一方面是刚性晶体，长程空间有序；另一方面，又象是自由流动的超流体．对于超固体的研究历史，可以追溯到1969年，Andreev and Lifshitz研究了晶体中格点空位的作用．他们提出：在极低温下，空位有可能在整个晶体范围内退局域化，形成玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚；尽管原子排列规则有序，超流行为仍可能在其中发生．在实验室中观察超固体行为的研究努力，持续了35年．2004年，美国宾州大学的Kim E等报告了关于超固体的第一个实验证据．加压4^He被置于一个扭摆容器中，当样品被冷却到175mK以下，实验者观察到扭摆转动惯量的突然下降．定量的估计表明，样品中大约有1％的组分停止了随固态氦的震荡，或者说有1％成为超流．不过，其中的机制，迄今尚无共识．
