This article presents a new methodology for the quantitative determination of the progress of the curing reaction of a thermosetting resin, using the results of electrical impedance spectroscopy. The method is an extension of the use of the imaginary impedance maximum as a reaction progress indicator and is based on the demonstration of a close correlation between the reaction rate, as measured by conventional differential scanning calorimetry, and the rate of change of the value of the imaginary impedance spectrum maximum. Tests on a commercial aerospace epoxy resin under both isothermal and dynamic heating conditions with calorimetry and impedance spectroscopy have demonstrated the validity of the method and set the accuracy limits involved. Consider a network where two routes are available for users wishing to travel from a source to a destination. On one route (which could be viewed as private transport) service slows as traffic increases. On the other (which could be viewed as public transport) the service frequency increases with demand. The Downs-Thomson paradox occurs when improvements in service produce an overall decline in performance as user equilibria adjust. Using the model proposed by Calvert [10], with a ⋅|M|1 queue corresponding to the private transport route, and a bulk-service infinite server queue modelling the public transport route, we give a complete analysis of this system in the setting of probabilistic routing. The solid-state 15N CP/MAS NMR spectra and 15N spin-lattice relaxation times (T1) of doped and dedoped 15N-labeled polypyrroles prepared by electrochemical polymerization, have been measured by means of high-resolution solid-state 15N NMR. The 15N signal of polypyrrole consists of four peaks decomposed by line shape analysis. The four peaks obtained have been assigned to the various structures of polypyrrole. This study analyzes the economics of transshipping biomass from truck to train in a North American setting. Transshipment
will only be economic when the cost per unit distance of a second transportation mode is less than the original mode. There
is an optimum number of transshipment terminals which is related to biomass yield. Transshipment incurs incremental fixed
costs, and hence there is a minimum shipping distance for rail transport above which lower costs/km offset the incremental
fixed costs. For transport by dedicated unit train with an optimum number of terminals, the minimum economic rail shipping
distance for straw is 170 km, and for boreal forest harvest residue wood chips is 145 km. The minimum economic shipping distance
for straw exceeds the biomass draw distance for economically sized centrally located power plants, and hence the prospects
for rail transport are limited to cases in which traffic congestion from truck transport would otherwise preclude project
development. Ideally, wood chip transport costs would be lowered by rail transshipment for an economically sized centrally
located power plant, but in a specific case in Alberta, Canada, the layout of existing rail lines precludes a centrally located
plant supplied by rail, whereas a more versatile road system enables it by truck. Hence for wood chips as well as straw the
economic incentive for rail transport to centrally located processing plants is limited. Rail transshipment may still be preferred
in cases in which road congestion precludes truck delivery, for example as result of community objections. 相似文献

We studied parallel conductivities of pure BaF2 films with thicknesses ranging from 35 to 300 nm, epitaxially grown on Al2O3(0 1 2) substrates by molecular beam epitaxy technique. The overall conductivities of the films are found to increase with decreasing thickness. The detailed investigation of the overall conductance as a function of the thickness permits the deconvolution of bulk and boundary effects, the latter being attributed to distinct space charge effects in the interface between BaF2 film and Al2O3 substrate. The (extrinsic) Debye length (λ) is estimated to be about 8 nm at T=593 K, which corresponds to an impurity content of 1018/cm3 (singly ionized dopant assumed). This is consistent with the fact that we observed a constant boundary contribution for all investigated films (film thickness >4λ). It is also consistent with the Debye length observed in a previous report on CaF2/BaF2 heterolayers fabricated by the same technique, in which the low temperature enhancement was also attributed to space charges in BaF2 [Nature 408 (2000) 946]. Only at low temperatures (below 370 °C), the conductance seems to be influenced by strain effect. 相似文献
