We analyse the properties of a particular birational mapping of two variables (Cremona transformation) depending on two free parameters ( and ), associated with the action of a discrete group of non-linear (birational) transformations on the entries of a q × q matrix. This mapping originates from the analysis of birational transformations obtained from very simple algebraic calculations, namely taking the inverse of q × q matrices and permuting some of the entries of these matrices. It has been seen to yield weak chaos and integrability. We have found new integrable cases of this Cremona transformation, corresponding to the values of = 0 when , besides the already known values = 0 and = −1, and also arbitrary when = 0. For these cases, one has a foliation of the parameter space in elliptic curves. We give the equations of these elliptic curves. Based on this very example we show how one can find these integrability cases of the Cremona transformation and actually integrate it using a method based on the systematic study of the finite-order conditions of the Cremona transformation. The method is shown to be efficient and straightforward. The various integrability cases are revisited using many different representations of this very mapping (birational transformations, recursion in one variable, …).  相似文献

Studies on first-passage failure are extended to the multi-degree-of-freedom quasi-non-integrable-Hamiltonian systems under parametric excitations of Gaussian white noises in this paper. By the stochastic averaging method of energy envelope, the system's energy can be modeled as a one-dimensional approximate diffusion process by which the classical Pontryagin equation with suitable boundary conditions is applicable to analyzing the statistical moments of the first-passage time of an arbitrary order. An example is studied in detail and some numerical results are given to illustrate the above procedure. The project supported by the Post-Doctoral Foundation of China  相似文献

A strategy is proposed based on the stochastic averaging method for quasi nonintegrable Hamiltonian systems and the stochastic dynamical programming principle. The proposed strategy can be used to design nonlinear stochastic optimal control to minimize the response of quasi non-integrable Hamiltonian systems subject to Gaussian white noise excitation. By using the stochastic averaging method for quasi non-integrable Hamiltonian systems the equations of motion of a controlled quasi non-integrable Hamiltonian system is reduced to a one-dimensional averaged Ito stochastic differential equation. By using the stochastic dynamical programming principle the dynamical programming equation for minimizing the response of the system is formulated. The optimal control law is derived from the dynamical programming equation and the bounded control constraints. The response of optimally controlled systems is predicted through solving the FPK equation associated with It5 stochastic differential equation. An example is worked out in detail to illustrate the application of the control strategy proposed.  相似文献

Some new theoretical results are presented on modeling the dynamic response of a class of discrete mechanical systems subject to equality motion constraints. Both the development and presentation are facilitated by employing some fundamental concepts of differential geometry. At the beginning, the equations of motion of the corresponding unconstrained system are presented on a configuration manifold with general properties, first in strong and then in a primal weak form, using Newton׳s law of motion as a foundation. Next, the final weak form is obtained by performing a crucial integration by parts step, involving a covariant derivative. This step required the clarification and enhancement of some concepts related to the variations employed in generating the weak form. The second part of this work is devoted to systems involving holonomic and non-holonomic scleronomic constraints. The equations of motion derived in a recent study of the authors are utilized as a basis. The novel characteristic of these equations is that they form a set of second order ordinary differential equations (ODEs) in both the coordinates and the Lagrange multipliers associated to the constraint action. Based on these equations, the corresponding weak form is first obtained, leading eventually to a consistent first order ODE form of the equations of motion. These equations are found to appear in a form resembling the form obtained after application of the classical Hamilton׳s canonical equations. Finally, the new theoretical findings are illustrated by three representative examples.  相似文献

Analytical solutions are reported for the generalized non-integrable nonlinear Schrödinger equation with varying coefficients using the similarity transformation and tri-function method, which involve three free functions of spaces to generate abundant wave structures. Three types of free functions are chosen to exhibit the corresponding nonlinear wave propagations.  相似文献

We propose a scheme that excites rogue waves via electromagnetically induced transparency(EIT), which can also excite breathers and solitons. The system is a resonant Λ-type atomic ensemble. Under EIT conditions, the envelope equation of the probe field can be reduced to several different models, such as the saturable nonlinear Schr?dinger equation(SNLSE), and SNLSE with the trapping potential provided by a far-detuned laser field or a magnetic field. In this scheme, rogue waves can be generated by different initial pulses, such as the Gaussian wave with(or without) the uniform background. The scheme can be used to obtain rogue waves, breathers and solitons. We show the existence regions of rogue waves, breathers, and solitons as the function of the amplitude and width of the initial pulse. The novelty of our paper is that, we not only show rogue waves in the integrable system numerically, but also present the method to generate and control rogue waves in the non-integrable system.  相似文献

We consider a pentagon chain described by a Hubbard type of model considered under periodic boundary conditions. The system (i) is placed in an external magnetic field perpendicular to the plane of the cells, and (ii) is in a site-selective manner under the action of an external electric potential. In these conditions, we show in an exact manner that the physical properties of the system can be qualitatively changed. The changes cause first strong modifications of the band structure of the system created by the one-particle part of the Hamiltonian, and second, produce marked changes of the phase diagram. We exemplify this by deducing ferromagnetic ground states in the presence of external fields in two different domains of the parameter space.  相似文献
