The transition state of addition of free radicals and atoms to multiple bonds is considered as a result of intersecting of two parabolic potential curves. One of them characterizes the stretching vibration of the attacked multiple bond, and another curve characterizes the stretching vibration of the bond formed in the transition state. The force constant of the latter is calculated by an empirical equation that correlates the force constant with the bond dissociation energy. In the framework of this model, the thermally neutral activation energy (E e0) and the elongation of the attacked and formed bonds (r e) in the transition state were calculated from the experimental data (activation energy (E e) and enthalpy of reaction (H e)) for the addition of an H atom and methyl, alkoxyl, aminyl, triethylsilyl, and peroxyl radicals to the C=C bond and the addition of H and CH3 to the C=O and CC bonds. Analysis of the data obtained showed that E e0 depends linearly on the |H e| + Ee sum, i.e., Ee0/kJ mol–1 = 14.2 + 0.61 · (EeH e), and the bond elongation in the transition state for addition of the most part of radicals to ethylene and acetylene vary within (0.65–0.87)·10–10 m. Novel phenyl benzoate-based and biphenyl-based liquid crystalline thiol-ene monomers were synthesized and their properties investigated. By varying the bridging unit and spacer length, the type of mesophase can be tuned from the low ordered nematic and smectic A phase in the case of the phenyl benzoate-based monomers, to the highly ordered crystal E phase for the biphenyl-based monomers and their corresponding bromo precursors. We investigated the degree of order of the phenyl benzoate-based materials using the Haller method. Possible premature polymerization of these monomers was examined by size exclusion chromatography. The materials exhibit low transition temperatures and a high stability at typical handling times and temperatures. Consequently, these monomers are useful for in situ polymerization with anisotropic inert solvents, which could potentially lead to new architectures and enhanced electro-optical properties of devices. The use of the biphenyl-based monomers appears to be of limited use for polymerizations in anisotropic solution. However, as a result of their intrinsic high degree of molecular order, these monomers form a particularly interesting class of reactive materials that can be bulk polymerized to give main chain polymers with highly defined mechanical and optical or electro-optical properties.  相似文献

A methacrylate‐based crosslinking hyperbranced polymers have been synthesized through initiator‐fragment incorporation radical polymerization and used for the temperature stable electro‐optic (EO) polymer application. This polymer consists of methyl methacrylate, 2‐metacryloxyethyl isocyanate, and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) monomers. The use of EGDMA as a bifunctional unit resulted in the solvent‐soluble crosslinking hyperbranched chain, so that the EO polymer enhanced glass transition temperatures. A phenyl vinylene thiophene vinylene bridge nonlinear optical chromophore was attached to the polymer backbone as the side‐chain by a post‐functionalization reaction. The loading concentration of the chromophore was varied between 30 and 50 wt % by simply changing the mixing ratio of the precursor polymer to the chromophore. The synthesized EO polymers produced optical quality films with a light propagation loss of 0.61 dB/cm in a slab waveguide at 1.31 μm. The electrically poled film had an EO coefficient (r33) of 139 pm/V at 1.31 μm. The EO crosslinking hyperbranced polymer had a high‐glass transition temperature of 170 °C, and exhibited excellent temporal stability of the EO activity at 85 °C for 500 h. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The weak anchoring nematic liquid crystal (NLC) cell is investigated with regard to energy. Because the Gibbs free energy of liquid crystal system used in theory does not include temperature and entropy, and because the equations and boundary conditions for δG=0 are also the mechanical equilibrium conditions of the continuum, the Gibbs free energy G is equivalent to the energy E of the liquid crystal continuum. There are multiple solutions which satisfy these equations and boundary conditions, each solution corresponding to a certain energy value. We call these discrete energy values and energy levels. Adopting a simple liquid crystal cell model, the energy levels are calculated in detail by means of analytical and numerical methods. The results show that there are three energy levels (or more in certain cases). The values and sequence of the energy levels are related to the external field and anchoring parameters. The relationships between the energy level structure and the bistable. Fréedericksz transition are disussed, together with their influence on the response time. The physical condition for the existence of more than three energy levels is also given.  相似文献

以静电纺丝技术与烧结工艺相结合的方式制备了碳纤维基PtPb纳米催化剂,并采用X射线衍射(XRD)、红外光谱(FT-IR)、扫描电镜(SEM)等分析测试手段对其进行了表征。结果表明,在预氧化温度为300 ℃、碳化温度为800 ℃的条件下,所制备的PtPb阳极纳米催化剂结晶程度好、比表面积大,粒径约为3.05 nm,催化活性颗粒均匀分散在多孔碳纤维骨架上。采用循环伏安法(CV)及交流阻抗(EIS)评价了该催化剂对乙醇氧化反应的电催化性能。结果表明,最大峰电流密度达到125 mA/cm2,电荷转移电阻相较于700 ℃下降了近60%。  相似文献

The orientation tensor L is introduced to construct a modified Leslie–Ericksen model for the viscous, incompressible flow of anisotropic suspensions (including electric field effects). This is then utilized to develop a weak variational formulation and finite element scheme for computing the flow and orientation fields. 利用原子电性作用矢量(Atomic electro-negativity interaction vector,AEIV)和原子杂化状态指数(Atomic hybridization state index,AHSI)对萜类化合物中的C原子进行结构表征并与其核磁共振碳谱(13C NMR)建立了优良的定量构谱相关(QSSR)模型.其中29个单萜类化合物中的290个C原子建模的计算值经留一法(Leave-one-out,LOO)交互校验(Cross-validation,CV)预测值的复相关系数(R)分别为0.9900和0.9867,进一步使用倍半萜、二萜、三萜化合物分子中65个C原子的13C NMR化学位移值来检测该模型的稳定性,模型预测值和观测值间复相关系数(R)为0.9777,取得了令人满意的结果.  相似文献

A cellulose derivative/liquid crystal composite‐type electro‐optical cell using a commercial cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) was investigated. The electro‐optical properties of the system were examined, i.e. the dependence on applied voltage of the reflected wavelength and the minimum and maximum transmissions. A thin film of the CLC was dispersed with a cross‐linked cellulose film of 25 µm thickness. In the voltage dependence of the reflected wavelength it was verified that there is a hysteresis in the reflected wavelength. The variation of the reflected wavelength with temperature was also determined. The results are analysed in the framework of similar systems described in the literature for CLC dispersed in a polymer matrix.  相似文献

Poly(ethylene glycol)‐poly(lactide) (PEG‐PLA) block copolymers are processed to solvent cast films and solution electrospun meshes. The effect of polymer composition, architecture, and number of anchoring points for the plasticizer on swelling, degradation, and mechanical properties of these films and meshes is investigated as potential barrier device for the prevention of peritoneal adhesions. As a result, adequate properties are achieved for the massive films with a longer retention of the plasticizer PEG for star‐shaped block copolymers than for the linear triblock copolymers and consequently more endurable mechanical properties during degradation. For electrospun meshes fabricated using the same polymers, similar trends are observed, but with an earlier start of fragmentation and lower tensile strengths. To overcome the poor mechanical strengths and an occurring shrinkage during incubation, which may impair the coverage of the wound, further adaptions of the meshes and the fabrication process are necessary.
