The purpose of the present study was to describe the effects ofacute laryngitis on some aerodynamic, acoustic, and perceptual measures. Eleven subjects with diagnosed acute laryngitis due to upper respiratory infection were recorded during a laryngitic episode and 1 week to 10 days after amelioration of the laryngitic condition. Fundamental frequency values, collapsed across the five vowels, were significantly reduced in the laryngitic compared with the normal speaking condition. The decrease in fundamental frequency associated with acute laryngitis suggests an increase in the mass of the vocal folds. In addition, aerodynamic values differed significantly for the laryngitic condition compared with the normal speaking condition, suggesting the presence of laryngeal hypofunction. Perceptual data indicated that speakers in the laryngitic condition were judged to have a hoarse voice when compared with the normal speaking condition.  相似文献

SUMMARY: In recent years, the multiparametric approach for evaluating perceptual rating of voice quality has been advocated. This study evaluates the accuracy of predicting perceived overall severity of voice quality with a minimal set of aerodynamic, voice range profile (phonetogram), and acoustic perturbation measures. One hundred and twelve dysphonic persons (93 women and 19 men) with laryngeal pathologies and 41 normal controls (35 women and six men) with normal voices participated in this study. Perceptual severity judgement was carried out by four listeners rating the G (overall grade) parameter of the GRBAS scale. The minimal set of instrumental measures was selected based on the ability of the measure to discriminate between dysphonic and normal voices, and to attain at least a moderate correlation with perceived overall severity. Results indicated that perceived overall severity was best described by maximum phonation time of sustained /a/, peak intraoral pressure of the consonant-vowel /pi/ strings production, voice range profile area, and acoustic jitter. Direct-entry discriminant function analysis revealed that these four voice measures in combination correctly predicted 67.3% of perceived overall severity levels.  相似文献

The influences of steady aerodynamic loads on hunting stability of high-speed railway vehicles were investigated in this study.A mechanism is suggested to explain the change of hunting behavior due to actions of aerodynamic loads:the aerodynamic loads can change the position of vehicle system(consequently the contact relations),the wheel/rail normal contact forces,the gravitational restoring forces/moments and the creep forces/moments.A mathematical model for hunting stability incorporating such influences was developed.A computer program capable of incorporating the effects of aerodynamic loads based on the model was written,and the critical speeds were calculated using this program.The dependences of linear and nonlinear critical speeds on suspension parameters considering aerodynamic loads were analyzed by using the orthogonal test method,the results were also compared with the situations without aerodynamic loads.It is shown that the most dominant factors a ff ecting linear and nonlinear critical speeds are different whether the aerodynamic loads considered or not.The damping of yaw damper is the most dominant influencing factor for linear critical speeds,while the damping of lateral damper is most dominant for nonlinear ones.When the influences of aerodynamic loads are considered,the linear critical speeds decrease with the rise of cross wind velocity,whereas it is not the case for the nonlinear critical speeds.The variation trends of critical speeds with suspension parameters can be significantly changed by aerodynamic loads.Combined actions of aerodynamic loads and suspension parameters also a ff ect the critical speeds.The effects of such joint action are more obvious for nonlinear critical speeds.  相似文献

发动机是军舰上的重要部件之一,其稳定性对军舰的正常航行具有重要影响。以舰用发动机关键部件(主泵轴承)为具体研究对象,提出了基于功率谱包络能量和支持向量机相结合的故障诊断方法。首先获取了大量可表征舰用发动机主泵轴承健康状态的振动加速度信息,对其进行功率谱分析,获得其功率谱的包络能量;以获取的舰用发动机主泵轴承功率谱的包络能量构建特征向量,并设计基于SVM的舰用发动机主泵轴承故障诊断模型,对主泵轴承的故障进行诊断研究。研究结果表明,采用基于功率谱包络能量和SVM相结合的舰用发动机关键部件故障诊断方法,可以很好实现主泵轴承的故障诊断效能,为舰用发动机主泵轴承故障诊断的工程应用奠定了基础。  相似文献

In a tight host–guest complex assembled solely by nondirectional van der Waals forces, unique motions of the guest, such as solid‐state inertial rotations, emerge. The regulation of dynamic motions is an important element to be explored for novel functions of such complexes, which may be seemingly difficult to achieve because of the nondirectionality of the assembling forces. A regulated, single‐axis rotation was made possible by choosing an appropriate shape of the guest in the tubular host. Specifically, an ellipsoidal guest was made to stand along a cylinder axis of the host, which consequently resulted in single‐axis rotations of the guest in the solid. The rotational frequency was considerably high for solid‐state rotations but was suppressed to 10 GHz, which was 1/20 of the isotropic rotation of a spherical guest. In‐depth kinetic analyses quantitatively revealed that the entropy cost was a determining factor that regulated the dynamics.  相似文献

In the present paper the conditions that give rise to chaotic motions in a rigid rotor on short journal bearings are investigated and determined. A suitable symmetry was given to the rotor, to the supporting system, to the acting system of forces and to the system of initial conditions, in order to restrict the motions of the rotor to translatory whirl. For an assigned distance between the supports, the ratio between the transverse and the polar mass moments of the rotor was selected conveniently small, with the aim of avoiding conical instability. Since the theoretical analysis of a system's chaotic motions can only be carried out by means of numerical investigation, the procedure here adopted by the authors consists of numerical integration of the rotor's equations of motion, with trial and error regarding the three parameters that characterise the theoretical model of the system: m, the half non-dimensional mass of the rotor, , the modified Sommerfeld number relating to the lubricated bearings, and , the dimensionless value of rotor unbalance. In the rotor's equations of motion, the forces due to the lubricating film are written under the assumption of isothermal and laminar flow in short bearings. In these conditions, non-periodic motions can be obtained even when rotor unbalance values are not particularly high (=0.05), whereas higher values (>0.4) make the rotor motion periodic and synchronous with the driving rotation. The present investigation has also identified the route that leads an assigned rotor to chaos when its angular speed is varied with prefixed values of the dimensionless unbalance . The theoretical results obtained have then been compared with experimental data. Both the theoretical and the experimental data have pointed out that in the circumstances investigated chaotic motions deserve more attention, from a technical point of view, than is normally ascribed to behaviours of this sort. This is mainly because such behaviours are usually considered of scarce practical significance owing to the typically bounded nature of chaotic evolution. The present analysis has shown that when the rotor exhibits chaotic motions, the centres of the journals describe orbits that alternate between small and large in an unpredictable and disordered manner. Laboratory tests have been carried out in order to investigate the influence of small changes in load direction on the performance of a steadily loaded hydrodynamic crown journal bearing. Hydrodynamic pressures, temperature distribution on the bush internal surface, shaft temperature, oil flow rate and bush torque were measured for fixed sets of operating conditions, at three different groove locations () with respect to the line of load ( = 0, –30, and +30 degrees). For each groove location quantitative information is provided concerning to the influence of applied load and shaft rotational speed on the performance characteristics. Changing the location of the groove around the load line did affect flow rate, bush torque and maximum hydrodynamic pressure, but only had a slight effect on bush maximum temperature.  相似文献
