We describe a unified approach for studying book, point-set, and simultaneous embeddability problems of upward planar digraphs. The approach is based on a linear time strategy to compute an upward planar drawing of an upward planar digraph such that all vertices are collinear. Besides having impact in relevant application domains of graph drawing and computational geometry, the presented results open new research directions in the area of upward planarity with constraints of the positions of the vertices. 相似文献

The stress-strain state in the zone of load transfer in a uniaxially stretched specimen made of a unidirectional epoxy carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) is investigated. A parametric analysis of the influence of geometric and mechanical characteristics of the specimen on its stress-strain state is performed by means of finite-element modeling. The parameters allowing us to significantly reduce the dangerous concentration of transverse and tangential stresses are revealed. The mechanical tensile characteristics of a high-strength pultruded unidirectional CFRP are determined experimentally, and the size effect of its strength is estimated. 相似文献

With the use of an analytical approach developed, the influence of distribution of a tangential load on the stress concentration
in uniaxially tensioned flat specimens of high-strength unidirectional composites near the grips of a testing machine is evaluated.
In view of singularity of the analytical solution derived at the points of discontinuity of boundary conditions, for estimating
the stress concentration, it is suggested to employ the averaged value of longitudinal stresses, which is calculated by means
of an improper integral across the thickness of a near-surface layer.

In a graph, a cluster is a set of vertices, and two clusters are said to be non-intersecting if they are disjoint or one of them is contained in the other. A clustered graph C consists of a graph G and a set of non-intersecting clusters. In this paper, we assume that C has a compound planar drawing and each cluster induces a biconnected subgraph. Then we show that such a clustered graph admits a drawing in the plane such that (i) edges are drawn as straight-line segments with no edge crossing and (ii) the boundary of the biconnected subgraph induced by each cluster is a convex polygon. 相似文献

We study the ferromagnetic properties of spin-1 system, which is considered in the frame of the bond dilution and random positive or negative anisotropy Blume-Capel model in the effective field theory and a cutting approximation. The investigation of phase diagrams displays some rich properties of the trajectory of tricritical point, reentrant henomena at low temperatures. Under certain both bond concentrations and random negative anisotropy, there are new transition lines of double tricritical points. So special emphasis is placed on the influence of the bond dilution and random anisotropy on phase diagrams. The magnetizations of the system are also discussed. This second part of a systematic study of the properties of crosslinked-oriented gelatin involves the effects of orientation
and water content on the glass transition temperature T
g and on the melting behavior. The samples were the same as those in the preceding study, and their transition temperatures
were determined by both differential scanning calorimetry and dynamic mechanical thermal analysis. The crosslinked gelatin
which had been room-conditioned showed two transition temperatures: the lower one was attributed to T
g of the water-plasticized gelatin, and the higher one was interpreted as T
g of dried gelatin superimposed by melting. A rather unusual situation arose because of the fact that the T
g and melting temperatures T
m (217 and 230 °C, respectively) are so similar. Using water as plasticizer not only decreases T
g but produces imperfect crystallites which melt below the T
g of the system. The presence of the amorphous phase in the glassy state would presumably make it essentially impossible to
define a melting point or crystallization temperature in the normal manner, as an equilibrium between crystalline and amorphous
phases.
