A facial, new, one‐pot method for the preparation of symmetrical organic trithiocarbonates from various alkyl halides and carbon disulfide is described. This is a convenient, clean, and mild procedure, which involves the use of the neutral, nontoxic, commercially available, and inexpensive reagent NH4OAc in the preparation of the trithiocarbonate ion from carbon disulfide.  相似文献

The polymerization of n‐butyl acrylate in the presence of two cyclic trithiocarbonates (CTTCs) and the synthesis of multiblock poly(n‐butyl acrylate) have been investigated. The CTTCs not only can be stepwise incorporated into the polymer chain via reversible addition–fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) but also can be polymerized into polytrithiocarbonate, which functions as a macro‐RAFT agent in turn. Through two kinds of mechanisms, multiblock poly(n‐butyl acrylate) containing narrow‐polydispersity blocks can be prepared. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of dodecyl‐based monofunctional trithiocarbonate chain transfer agents (CTAs) were successfully synthesized, toward the reversible addition‐fragmentations chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization of styrene. The CTAs were used as initiators for RAFT polymerization, in the absence of the conventional free radical initiator, at higher temperature. Polystyrene (PS) of narrow polydispersity index (PDI) is synthesized. Subsequently, poly(styrene‐b‐benzyl methacrylate) diblock and poly(styrene‐b‐benzyl methacrylate‐b‐2‐vinyl pyridine) triblock copolymers were synthesized from the PS macro‐RAFT agent by simply heating with the second and third monomer, respectively. These experiments suggest that it should be possible to control the RAFT polymerization initiated by a CTA through the adjustment of the temperature of polymerization in such manner that initiation is tailored to proceed at faster rate (at higher temperature) in comparison to propagation (lower temperature). For the specific CTAs studied in this work, the polymerization rate of styrene was high in the case of the reinitiating cyano (CN)‐substituted group (R group) compared to the other groups studied. The results further show that 4‐cyano pentanoic acid group is superior to the other R groups used for the RAFT polymerization of styrene, especially based on the polydispersity at a given conversion as well as the variation in the expected and experimental number‐average‐molecular weights. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Abstract

The thermal decomposition products of two substituted imino-1,2,4-dithiazoles have been studied by single crystal x-ray analysis. Both products crystallize in space group P21/c with four molecules per unit cell. The first product, obtained from 5-(dimethylamino)-3-(methylimino)-1,2,4-dithiazole has cell dimensions of a=9.922(8) Å, b=12.052(11) Å, c=13.358(12) Å and β=104.9(1)°. The molecule is made up of two planar segments related by an extremely large twist (?154°) about a C?N double bond. The results from this study have also contributed further information in the area of nonbonded interactions between ring and thione sulfur atoms. The second product, from 5-(dimethylamino)-3(phenylimino)-1,2,4-dithiazole was shown to be an ordered 1:1 complex of the starting material and one of its isomers. The cell dimensions are a=12.420(6) Å, b=8.840(9) Å, c=22.276(22) Å and β= 112.2(1)°. The different molecules are linked by an inter molecular NH… N hydrogen bond.  相似文献
