Synthesis under Micromave Irradition and Crystal Structure of 4''-Acetylbenzo-15 -crown-5thiosemicarbazone

The title compound is a bifunctional receptors including a thiourea group and a crown ether ring. Due to many possible potentials as a new class of reagents for membrane transports,ion-selective electrodes as well as reaction catalysts, the design and synthesis of bifunctional receptors for simultaneous binding of cations and anions is of ongoning interest in srprarnolecular chemistry1-5. In bifunctional receptors, the binding sites for anions and cations are covalently linked so as to exhibit allosteric or cooperative complexation where the binding affinity for anions(cations)is modified as a result of the cation(anion) complexation.Literature[6] reported that the ability of the thiourea group to bind anions is significantly enhanced when Na+ is bound to the crown moiety. To date, however only a few receptors of this class have been reported.6-8In this paper, we report an improved procedure under microwave irradiation that gives higher yields of title compound and needs fewer reaction times than traditional method.The structure of this compound was determined by IR ,element analysis and X-ray analysis.Scheme 1 The reaction equationThe crystal belongs to triclinic crystal system, P-1 space group, a=0.9547(0)nm, b=1.3637(3)nm,c=1.6029(3)nm, α =75.33(3) , β =83.62(3) , γ =70.99(3) ,Z=4,Dc=1.335g/cm3,F(000)=816,R1= 0.0557 ,wR2=0.1281. It is assembled into a three-dimensionalsupramolecule by intermolecular hydrogen bonds.     

Potentiometric studies on the complexation equilibria between some trivalent lanthanide metal ions and biologically active 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde thiosemicarbazone (HNATS)

Summary The chelation behaviour of some trivalent lanthanide and yttrium metal ion with biologically active 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde thiosemicarbazone (HNATS) has been investigated by potentiomotric measurements at 20±0.5°C in 75% (v/v) dioxane-water medium at various ionic strengths of sodium perchlorate. The method of Bjerrum and Calvin, as modified by Irving and Rossotti has been used to find out the values of (average number of ligand bound per metal ion) andpL (free ligand exponent). The formation constants of metal chelates have been computed on a PC-XT computer, using a program patterned after that of Sullivan et al. to give _n values using weighted least squares method. TheS _min values (S _min =²) have been calculated. The order of formation constants of chelates was found to be: La³⁺3+3+3+3+3+3+3+3+3+. The formation constants of the chelates formed have been correlated to size and ionization potentials of the metal ions.

Potentiometrische Untersuchungen der Komplexierungsgleichgewichte zwischen einigen trivalenten Metallionen und biologisch aktivem 2-Hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyd-thiosemicarbazon (HNATS)

Zusammenfassung Es wurde das Chelierungsverhalten einiger trivalenter Lanthanidenionen mit biologisch aktivem 2-Hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyd-thiosemicarbazon (HNATS) mittels potentiometrischer Messungen bei 20±0.5°C in 75% (v/v) Dioxan-Wasser bei verschiedener Ionenstärke an Natriumperchlorat untersucht. Die Methode nach Bjerrum und Calvin in der Modifikation nach Irving und Rossotti wurde zur Ermittlung der Werte (mittlere Anzahl an Liganden pro Metallion) undpL (Exponent an freiem Liganden) verwendet. Die Komplexbildungskonstanten wurden in Anlehnung an Sullivan et al. an einem PC-XT Computer errechnet. DieS _min-Werte (S _min=²) wurden ebenfalls bestimmt. Die Reihung der Chelatbildungskonstanten war: La³⁺3+3+3+3+3+3+3+3+3+. Die Bildungskonstanten sind mit der Größe und dem Ionisierungspotential der Metallionen zu korrelieren.

     

A New Asterosaponin from the Starfish Culcita novaeguineae

A new asterosaponin named novaeguinoside A, along with a known saponin, asteronyl pentaglycoside sulfate, was isolated from the starfish Culcita novaeguineae. The new compound was identitied to be sodium 6α-O-{β-D-fucopyranosyl-(1→2)-β-D-fucopyranosyl-(1→4)-[β-D-quinovopyranosyl-(1→2)]-β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→3)-[β-D-quinovopyranosyl}-5α-pregn-9(11)-en-20-one-3β-yl-sulfate by extensive spectral analysis and chemical evidence.     

水杨醛缩氨基硫脲合钴(Ⅱ)的晶体结构及其荧光性质

在甲醇和DMF溶剂里,以Schiff碱水杨醛缩氨基硫脲(简写为HL)和六水二氯化钴合成了配合物[CoHL2].H2O.DMF.在配合物[CoHL2]中,钴(Ⅱ)原子具有扭曲的N2O2S2八面体配位构型,晶体通过分子间氢键作用形成二维的无限网状结构.红外光谱表明,配体在形成配合物后,νS=O,νC=O和νC=N红移.荧光光谱表明,配合物金属对配体n-π*激发引起的荧光发射峰有较大的影响.     

Two New Steroidal Saponins from Tacca plantaginea

Two new C27 steroidal glycosides, named taccaoside A(1) and B(2), were isolated from the traditional Chinese herb Tacca plantaginea. The spectroscopic and chemical evidences revealed their structures to be 26-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(25R)-3β,26-dihydroxy furost-5,20-diene-3-O-[α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1→2)]-[α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1→3)]-β-D-glucopyranoside(1) and 26-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(25R)-3β,26-dihydroxy furost-5,20-diene-3-O-[α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)]-[β-D-glucopyranosyl(1→3)-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1→3)]-β-D-glucopyranoside(2),respectively.     

Two New C—21 Steroidal Glycosides from Cynanchum aurichulatum

Two new C-21 steroidal glycosides, cynanauriculoside I and cynanauriculoside Ⅱ, were isolated from the roots of Cynanchum aurichulatum. Their structures were established using spectroscopic methods including one and two-dimensional NMR.     

From oxides of internal perfluoroolefins to fluorocontaining camphor thiazolinylhydrazones

The reaction of oxides of internal trans- and cis-perfluoroolefins with (1S, 4S)- or racemic camphor thiosemicarbazone leads to the formation of trans- and cis-isomers of (1S, 4S)- or racemic camphor 5′-fluoro-4′-hydroxy-4′,5′-di(perfluoroalkyl)-1′,3′-thiazolinyl-2′-hydrazones, respectively. Unsymmetrical dodecafluoro-2,3-epoxyhexane yields a mixture of regioisomeric hydrazones. The molecular structure of the trans-isomer of (1S, 4S)-camphor 5′-fluoro-4′-hydroxy-4′,5′-bis(trifluoromethyl)-1′,3′-thiazolinyl-2′-hydrazone has been established by X-ray crystallography. The quite rare example of cocrystallization of two diastereomers of the latter in homochiral crystal (sp. group P2₁) has been revealed.     

α-单取代环十二酮肟及缩氨基硫脲的合成及晶体结构

单晶X射线衍射分析表明, α-单取代环十二酮与氨衍生物羟胺和氨基硫脲发生缩合反应得到两种母体构象均为[3333], 而取代基为边外向或角反向的α-单取代环十二酮肟或缩氨基硫脲. 利用底物的“角位羰基参与反应”原理, “记忆效应”及进攻试剂与底物是否形成氢键解释了这一实验结果. 通常情况下, 试剂从空间障碍小的一面进攻羰基而生成α-角反取代环十二酮肟或缩氨基硫脲. 当试剂与底物的取代基之间能够形成分子间氢键时, 则生成α-边外取代环十二酮肟或缩氨基硫脲.     

Unusual complexation of 1-phenylthiocarbamoyl-3-(pyridin-2-yl)pyrazoline with copper(ii) chloride

New Copper（Ⅱ） and Nickel（Ⅱ） Complexes of 4-Morpholinoacetophenone Thiosemicarbazone： Structural, Electrochemical and Antimicrobial Studies

4-Morpholinoacetophenone thiosemicarbazone, MAPT, and its nickel（Ⅱ） and copper（Ⅱ） complexes have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, spectral methods （FT-IR, ^1H NMR） and cyclic voltammetry. Electrochemical behaviors of the complexes have been studied by cyclic voltammetry in DMF media showing metal centered reduction processes for both of them. The redox properties, nature of the electrode processes and the stability of the complexes were discussed. [Cu（MAPT）2]Cl2 complex shows Cu（Ⅱ）/Cu（Ⅰ） couple and quasi-reversible wave associated with the Cu（Ⅲ）/Cu（Ⅱ） process. The reduction/oxidation potential values depend on the structures of complexes. Also, the antimicrobial activities of these complexes were determined against S. aureus, E. coli and B. subtilis.
