Elevated omega-6 (n-6) and omega-3 (n-3) polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) ratios in swine diets can potentially impose a higher risk of inflammatory and metabolic diseases in swine. A low ratio between the two omega PUFAs has beneficial effects on sows’ and piglets’ production performance and immunity status. At present, there are few studies on how sow nutrition directly affects the protein and fat deposition in suckling piglets. Two groups of sows were fed diets with high or low n-6/n-3 polyunsaturated ratios of 13:1 (SOY) and 4:1 (LIN), respectively, during gestation and lactation. Longissimus dorsi muscle and adipose tissue from newborn piglets, nourished only with sow’s milk, were subjected to fatty acid profiling by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and to proteomics assays based on nano-liquid chromatography coupled to high-resolution tandem mass spectrometry (nLC-HRMS). Fatty acid profiles on both muscle and adipose tissues resembled the magnitude of the differences between fatty acid across diets. Proteomic analysis revealed overabundance of 4 muscle and 11 adipose tissue proteins in SOY compared to LIN in both piglet tissues. The detected overabundance of haptoglobin, an acute-phase protein, and the stimulation of protein-coding genes and proteins related to the innate immune response and acute inflammatory response could be associated with the pro-inflammatory role of n-6 PUFAs.  相似文献

Glaesserella parasuis (G. parasuis) causes inflammation and damage to piglets. Whether polyserositis caused by G. parasuis is due to tight junctions damage and the protective effect of baicalin on it have not been examined. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effects of baicalin on peritoneal tight junctions of piglets challenged with G. parasuis and its underlying molecular mechanisms. Piglets were challenged with G. parasuis and treated with or without baicalin. RT-PCR was performed to examine the expression of peritoneal tight junctions genes. Immunofluorescence was carried out to detect the distribution patterns of tight junctions proteins. Western blot assays were carried out to determine the involved signaling pathways. Our data showed that G. parasuis infection can down-regulate the tight junctions expression and disrupt the distribution of tight junctions proteins. Baicalin can alleviate the down-regulation of tight junctions mRNA in peritoneum, prevent the abnormalities and maintain the continuous organization of tight junctions. Our results provide novel evidence to support that baicalin has the capacity to protect peritoneal tight junctions from G. parasuis-induced inflammation. The protective mechanisms of baicalin could be associated with inhibition of the activation of PKC and MLCK/MLC signaling pathway. Taken together, these data demonstrated that baicalin is a promising natural agent for the prevention and treatment of G. parasuis infection.  相似文献

Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) has been used for measurement of changes in cerebral hemoglobin concentrations in neonates to study cerebral oxygenation and hemodynamics. In this study, measurements by time-resolved reflectance spectroscopy (TRS) were performed in a piglet model with various degrees of cerebral oxygenation to estimate the differential pathlength factor (DPF). A portable three-wavelength TRS system (TRS-10, Hamamatsu Photonics K.K.) with a probe attached to the head of a piglet was used. Eleven newborn piglets were anesthetized and respired by a ventilator to induce stepwise hypoxia loading. The DPF showed positive linear relationship with arterial hemoglobin (Hb) oxygen saturation and sagittal sinus venous Hb oxygen saturation at 761 and 795 nm. The DPF at 835 nm also showed very slight positive linear relationship with arterial hemoglobin oxygen saturation. The DPF values obtained in this study should contribute to a better understanding of noninvasive measurements by NIRS in neonates.  相似文献

母猪产仔前后日粮中添加富铁宝对仔猪生产性能的影响   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
选择长大二元杂交母猪30头随机分成2组,在产前1个月至产后21d日粮中添加不同的铁制剂,研究母猪日粮添加不同铁源刘哺乳仔猪生产性能的影响。处理1为 对照组,基础日粮+硫酸亚铁150rag/ks(以Fe计);处理2为试验组,基础日粮+富铁宝(甘氨酸亚铁)400mg/kg,并添加硫酸亚铁.使两处理铁的含量相同均为150mg/kg(以Fe计)。试验结果表明,试验组总产仔数、活仔数和初生窝质量分别比对照组提高了3.3%、3.32%和4.52%,仔猪日增质斛比对照组提高9.33%。以上研究结果表明,在妊娠和泌乳母猪锔粮中添加富铁定(甘氨酸亚铁)有提高母猪繁殖性能的趋势.富铁宝在改善哺乳仔猪生长性能方而优于硫酸亚铁。  相似文献
