A new rhodium catalyzed ring opening reaction of oxabenzonorbomadienes and its derivatives was described. This reaction forms a new carbon-nitrogen bond via an intermoleeular allylic displacement of the bridgehead oxygen with a piperazine‘s derivatives, which proceeds with very high regioselectivity.
