A microfluidics-dispensing-printing strategy for Janus photonic crystal microspheres towards smart patterned displays

From the implementation point of view, the printable magnetic Janus colloidal photonic crystals (CPCs) microspheres are highly desirable. Herein, we developed a dispensing-printing strategy for magnetic Janus CPCs display via a microfluidics-automatic printing system. Monodisperse core/shell colloidal particles and magnetic Fe₃O₄ nanoparticles precursor serve as inks. Based on the equilibrium of three-phase interfacial tensions, Janus structure is successfully formed, followed by UV irradiation and self-assembly of colloid particle to generate magnetic Janus CPCs microspheres. Notably, this method shows distinct superiority with highly uniform Janus CPCs structure, where the TMPTA/Fe₃O₄ hemisphere is in the bottom side while CPCs hemisphere is in the top side. Thus, by using Janus CPCs microspheres with two different structural colors as pixel points, a pattern with red flower and green leaf is achieved. Moreover, 1D linear Janus CPCs pattern encapsulated by hydrogel is also fabricated. Both the color and the shape can be changed under the traction of magnets, showing great potentials in flexible smart displays. We believe this work not only offers a new feasible pathway to construct magnetic Janus CPCs patterns by a dispensing-printable fashion, but also provides new opportunities for flexible and smart displays.     

Minimal Submanifolds in a Locally Symmetric and Conformally Flat Space

We study minimal submanifolds in the locally symmetric and conformally flat Riemannian manifold and generalize Yau's result obtained in J. Amer. Math. 97 (1975), 76–100.     

生长温度对碳纳米管阴极场发射性能的影响

碳纳米管(Carbon Nanotubes,CNTs)场发射平面显示器(Field Emission Display,FED)与其他显示器比较显示了其独特优点,被认为是未来理想的平面显示器之一。碳纳米管阴极作为器件的核心部分,其性能的好坏直接影响显示器的性能。针对30~60英寸(76.2~152.4cm)大屏幕显示器所用的厚膜工艺,即采用丝网印刷法制备了碳纳米管阴极阵列,研究了化学气相沉积法在不同温度下生长的CNTs的场发射电流-电压特性,找到了适合FED用碳纳米管的最佳生长温度。结果表明生长温度越高(750℃),CNTs场发射性能越好。并用荧光粉阳极测试这些CNTs的场发射发光显示效果,验证了上述结论。     

基于ZBLANⅩⅣPr,Yb频率上转换发光的三维立体显示

本文对利用ZBLANⅩⅣPr,Yb频率上转换发光的三维立体显示做了研究,探讨了其中的一些物理问题.在实验中,我们利用Yb³⁺离子敏化的方法提高Pr³⁺的上转换发光效率;通过降低能引起单频上转换发光的激光强度来提高寻址点和非寻址点在显示过程中的对比度.     

A Penrose-like inequality for maximal asymptotically flat spin initial data sets

We prove a Penrose-like inequality for the mass of a large class of constant mean curvature (CMC) asymptotically flat n-dimensional spin manifolds which satisfy the dominant energy condition and have a future converging, or past converging compact and connected boundary of non-positive mean curvature and of positive Yamabe invariant. We prove that for every n ≥ 3 the mass is bounded from below by an expression involving the norm of the linear momentum, the volume of the boundary, dimensionless geometric constants and some normalized Sobolev ratio.     

Curved Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal Matrix Displays Driven by Field-Sequential-Color and Active-Matrix Techniques

This paper describes a curved field-sequential-color matrix display using fast-response ferroelectric liquid crystal. Black matrix and transparent electrode patterns were formed on a thin plastic substrate by a transfer method from a glass substrate. While a composite film of liquid crystal and micro-polymers of walls and fibers was formed between the flexible substrates by printing, laminating and curing processes of a solution of monomers and liquid crystal, the mechanical stability was enhanced by use of multi-functional monomers to form large display panels. The image pixels of the matrix panel were driven by an active matrix scheme using an external switch transistor array at a frequency of 180 Hz for intermittent three-primary-color backlight illumination. The flexible A4-paper-sized color display with 24 × 16 pixels and 60 Hz field frequency was demonstrated by illuminating it with sequential three-primary-color lights from light-emitting diodes of the backlight. Our display system is useful in various information displays because of its freedom of setting and location.     

Spectral Properties of Four-Dimensional Compact Flat Manifolds

We study the spectral properties of a large class of compact flat Riemannian manifolds of dimension 4, namely, those whose corresponding Bieberbach groups have the canonical lattice as translation lattice. By using the explicit expression of the heat trace of the Laplacian acting on p-forms, we determine all p-isospectral and L-isospectral pairs and we show that in this class of manifolds, isospectrality on functions and isospectrality on p-forms for all values of p are equivalent to each other. The list shows for any p, 1 ≤ p ≤ 3, many p-isospectral pairs that are not isospectral on functions and have different lengths of closed geodesics. We also determine all length isospectral pairs (i.e. with the same length multiplicities), showing that there are two weak length isospectral pairs that are not length isospectral, and many pairs, p-isospectral for all p and not length isospectral. Some conformally flat spin manifolds, Dirac operators and automorphic forms

In this paper we study Clifford and harmonic analysis on some examples of conformal flat manifolds that have a spinor structure, or more generally, at least a pin structure. The examples treated here are manifolds that can be parametrized by U/Γ where U is a subdomain of either Sn or Rn and Γ is a Kleinian group acting discontinuously on U. The examples studied here include RPn and the Hopf manifolds S¹×Sn−1. Also some hyperbolic manifolds will be treated. Special kinds of Clifford-analytic automorphic forms associated to the different choices of Γ are used to construct explicit Cauchy kernels, Cauchy integral formulas, Green's kernels and formulas together with Hardy spaces and Plemelj projection operators for Lp spaces of hypersurfaces lying in these manifolds.     

GENERALIZED CIRCLES AND THEIR CONFORMAL MAPPING IN A SUBSPACE OF A WEYL SPACE

The authors give the necessary and sufficient conditions for a generalized circle in a Weyl hypersurface to be generalized circle in the enveloping Weyl space. They then obtain the neccessary and sufficient conditions under which a generalized concircular transformation of one Weyl space onto another induces a generalized transformation oil its subspaces. Finally, it is shown that any totally geodesic or totally umbilical hypersurface of a generalized concircularly flat Weyl space is also generalized concircularly flat.     

激光水下扫描成像系统的图像修正机理

同步扫描系统可以克服后向散射，但同时也产生了两种非线性，一是扫描线速度的非线性，一是由于距离对光能衰减造成的非线性，两种非线性都需要修正，本文从原理上讨论水下激光成像时能量衰减的修正原理与修正方法，并给出仿真结果。
