A theoretical study was carried out on the unimolecular reaction of an enediyne with a fused butylated hydroxytoluene to internally scavenge the p‐benzyne diradical sites formed after the Bergman cyclization. The calculations revealed that the conversion of the p‐benzyne diradical (2‐tert‐butyl‐4‐methyl‐5,8‐didehydro‐1‐naphthalenol) to p‐quinone methide is favored over the conversion to a phenoxy/benzene diradical 4 in an approximate 95:5 ratio. Based on this model, the Bergman cyclization leads in a bifunctional manner to intermediates for competing reactivity with intermolecular H‐atom abstraction. N-tosyl-linked open-chain yne-ene-yne enediynes 1 and 2 and yne-yne-ene enediynes 3 and 4 have been satisfactorily synthesised. The [2+2+2] cycloaddition process catalysed by the Wilkinson catalyst [RhCl(PPh(3))(3)] was tested with the above-mentioned substrates resulting in the production of high yields of the cycloadducts. Enediynes 1 and 2 gave standard [2+2+2] cycloaddition reactions whereas enediynes 3 and 4 suffered β-hydride elimination followed by reductive elimination of the Wilkinson catalyst to give cycloadducts, which are isomers of those that would be obtained by standard [2+2+2] cycloaddition reactions. The different reactivities of these two types of enediyne have been rationalised by density functional theory calculations.  相似文献

Trifluoromethylated enynyl sulfones 3 were reacted with 2-4 equiv of phenyl, n-hexyl, trimethylsilyl, or triisopropylsilyl substituted ethynyllithium reagents in THF or ether at 0 °C to give trifluoromethylated enediynes 6 (Z)-stereoselectively in 41-96% yields. The reactions of β-fluoro-β-trifluoromethylvinyl sulfone 5 with same ethynyllithium reagents (4 equiv) afforded the corresponding enediynes 6 in 41-90% yields. The cross-coupling reactions of 6 bearing TMS group with aryl iodides in the presence of Pd(PPh3)2Cl2, Ag2CO3, and n-Bu4NBr provided the corresponding enediynes 6 in 20-71% yields. Dimerization of (Z)-6 bearing TMS group in the presence of CuBr2 and K2CO3 yielded dimer (Z,Z)-7 in good yield.  相似文献
