A series of new aromatic polyamides having pendent naphthoxy groups were synthesized by the triphenyl phosphite‐activated polycondensation of (2‐naphthoxy)terephthalic acid (NOTPA) with various aromatic diamines in a medium consisting of N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone (NMP), pyridine, and calcium chloride. The diacid monomer NOTPA was prepared from the nitro displacement of dimethyl 2‐nitroterephthalate with the potassium naphthoxide of β‐naphthol, followed by base‐induced ester hydrolysis. All the resulting polymers were noncrystalline and readily soluble in aprotic polar solvents such as NMP and N,N‐dimethylacetamide. Almost all the polymers could be solution‐cast to tough, creasable amorphous films with good mechanical properties, the values of tensile strengths ranging from 90 to 124 MPa with initial moduli ranging from 1.72 to 2.51 GPa. Except for two examples, all the other polyamides displayed discernible glass transitions between 189 and 248 °C in the differential scanning calorimetric traces. Linear trigermoxanes, R1 RGeOGe(R3)2OGeRR1, a new series of organogermanium compounds, were synthesized by reaction of a lithium organogermanolate with a suitable organogermanium dihalide. With alkyl or phenyl substituents, these trigermoxanes are structurally unstable viscous oils, due to redistribution reactions. When R3 substituents are bulky groups, such as mesityl, trigermoxanes are thermally and structurally stable oils; depending on the R1 and R2 substituents their viscosities lie in the range 240 to more than 1500 cPo (mPa s) at 20°C. When both terminal germanium atoms are substituted with two mesityl groups, trigermoxanes are stable glassy solids. 相似文献

Hydride abstraction from diarylamines with the trityl ion is explored in an attempt to generate a stable diarylnitrenium ion, Ar2N+. Sequential H-atom abstraction reactions ensue. The first H-atom abstraction leads to intensely colored aminium radical cations, Ar2NH.+, some of which are quite stable. However, most undergo a second H-atom abstraction leading to ammonium ions, Ar2NH2+. In the absence of a ready source of H-atoms, a unique self-abstraction reaction occurs when Ar=Me5C6, leading to a novel iminium radical cation, Ar=N.+Ar, which decays via a second self H-atom abstraction reaction to give a stable iminium ion, Ar=N+HAr. These products differ substantially from those derived via photochemically produced diarylnitrenium ions. 相似文献

Aminosilane bearing bulky substituents on nitrogen: LH2(L=Me2Si(NDipp-)2 , Dipp=2,6-diisopropylphenyl) was reacted with BuLi in toluene. The resulting bulky chelating dianion Me2Si(NDipp-)2 was used to synthesize the unusual spirocyclic heterotriatomic complex [Me2Si(NDipp)2]2Sn (1) by its reaction with SnCl4 and the bulky heterotriatomic complex Me2Si(NDipp)2SnPh2 (2) with Ph2SnCl2.1 belongs to the monoclinic system, space group P21/n with a=13.193(2), b=20.663(3), c=20.403(3), β=99.954(2)o, V=5478.3(15)3 , C55H85.5N4Si2Sn, Mr=977.64, Z=4, Dc=1.185Mg/m3 , μ(MoKα)=0.547mm-1 , F(000)=2086, S=1.000, the final R=0.0614 and wR=0.1322 for 14446 observed reflections (I2σ(I)) and R=0.0797 and wR=0.1456 for all data. 2 belongs to the triclinic system, space group Pī with a=10.36(15), b=13.204(7), c=14.363(7), α=90.214(10), β=106.182(7), γ=109.854(8)o, V=1764.4(15)3 , C38H50N2SiSn, Mr=681.58, Z=2, Dc=1.283 Mg/m3 , μ(MoKα)=0.785 mm-1 , F(000)=712, S=1.002, the final R=0.0498 and wR=0.0955 for 7533 observed reflections (I2σ(I)) and R=0.0676 and wR=0.1018 for all data. In the structure of 1, the tin atom is located in the spirocyclic center of the two fused four-membered SnN 2 Si rings. The two complexes were characterized by 1H NMR, elemental analysis, and single-crystal X-ray structural analysis. 相似文献

Asymmetric anionic homopolymerizations of N‐substituted maleimide (RMI) bearing bulky substituents [R = benzyl, diphenylmethyl (DPhMI), 9‐fluorenyl (9‐FlMI), triphenylmethyl, (diphenylmethyloxycarbonyl)methyl, (9‐fluorenyloxycarbonyl)methyl] were carried out with complexes of organometal compounds (alkyllithium, diethylzinc) with six chiral ligands to obtain optically active polymers. The chiroptical properties of the polymers were affected strongly by the substituents on nitrogen in the maleimide ring, the organometal and chiral ligands. Poly(DPhMI) initiated by an n‐butyllithium/(−)‐sparteine (Sp) complex showed a positive specific rotation ([α] +60.3°). Poly(9‐FlMI) prepared with a florenyllithium/Sp complex exhibited the highest specific rotation (+65.7°). The specific rotations of the poly(RMI) obtained were attributed to different contents between the stereogenic centers (S,S) and (R,R) based on threo‐diisotactic structures of the main chain. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. A series of aromatic diamines containing pendent methoxy, phenoxy, and biphenoxy moieties were synthesized. By the reaction of diamines with 3,3′,4,4′-benzophenonetetracarboxylic dianhydride (BTDA), several kinds of polyimides having bulky pendent ether groups were synthesized. Thermal properties and processability such as melt processability and solubility in organic solvents of obtained polyimides were investigated by focusing on the chemical structures of their repeating structure units. It was found that the thermal stability and melt processability of the polyimides did not strongly depend on the existence of bulky pendent phenoxy and biphenoxy moieties. Their solubility in organic solvents, however, was improved by introducing the bulky pendent ether groups such as methoxy, phenoxy, and biphenoxy moieties into their repeating structure units. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
