Selective Propargylation of Carbonyl Compounds and Imines with Barium Reagents

A Barbier‐type regioselective propargylation of aldehydes and ketones with (3‐bromobut‐1‐ynyl)trimethylsilane has been achieved using reactive barium as a low‐valent metal in THF. Especially in the case of ketones, the corresponding homopropargylic alcohols form almost exclusively. In the reaction of α,β‐unsaturated carbonyl compounds, only 1,2‐adducts have been observed. This method is also applicable to propargylation of imines, and the corresponding homopropargylic amines are obtained regiospecifically in good yields with diastereomeric ratios of up to 87:13.     

Effects of barium on the nonlinear electrical characteristics and dielectric properties of SnO2-based varistors

The effects of barium on electrical and dielectric properties of the SnO_2·Co_2O_3·Ta_2O_5 varistor system sintered at 1250℃ for 60min were investigated. It is found that barium significantly improves the nonlinear properties. The breakdown electrical field increases from 378.0 to 2834.5V/mm, relative dielectric constant (at 1kHz) falls from 1206 to 161 and the resistivity (at 1kHz) rises from 60.3 to 1146.5kΩ·cm with an increase of BaCO_3 concentration from 0mol% to 1.00mol%. The sample with 1.00mol% barium has the best nonlinear electrical property and the highest nonlinear coefficient (α=29.2). A modified defect barrier model is introduced to illustrate the grain-boundary barrier formation of barium-doped SnO_{2}-based varistors.     

Formation of 2,6-dioxabicyclo[3.3.0]-octa-3,7-dienes or multiply substituted o-benzoquinones from reactions of 1,4-dilithio-1,3-dienes with dimethyl oxalate

Reactions of 1,4-dilithio-1,3-dienes with dimethyl oxalates afforded multiply substituted o-benzoquinones or stereodefined 2,6-dioxabicyclo[3.3.0]-octa-3,7-dienes in good yields.     

棒状钡铁氧体的反相微乳法制备

A rodlike barium ferrite precursor with an average size of 0.72～19.6 μm and aspect ratio of 2.6～8.3 has been successfully prepared in an inverse microemulsion consisting of isooctane, cetanyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB), n-C₄H₉OH and water with ammonia and ammonium oxalate as precipitants. On sintering at 780(C, the rodlike precursor particles could be transformed into rodlike particles of barium ferrite(BaFe₁₂O₁₉) with the average size and aspect ratio of 0.69～18.2 μm and 2.3～5.8, respectively. The effect of volume ratio of aqueous phase to oleic phase, the starting concentrations of metal ions and the starting concentration ratios of metal ions to precipitants were investigated.     

草酸锰分解过程的机理函数判别和动力学研究

用等温热重和线性升温热重分析法研究了草酸锰热分解过程,提出了判断其机理函数的3步判别法。经实验和理论分析证明,该反应受随机成核和晶核随后生长的过程(A_3a机理)支配,其活化能E=103.95 kJ/mol,频率因子A=4.448×10~8min~(-1).动力学补偿效应为IgA=0.09661E-1.2856     

Thermal and structure analysis of FeSO4·H2O-BaO2 mixtures

Investigations on the thermal decomposition of FeSO₄·H₂O-BaO₂ mixtures were carried out under isothermal conditions by using simultaneously solid electrolyte cell (EMF-method). Evoked interactions producing oxygen in the temperature range 553-673 K were established by means of a solid electrolyte oxygen analyzer. Based on Mössbauer spectroscopy data and X-ray analysis it was proved that these reactions were associated with the release of oxygen from barium peroxide, oxidation of ferrosulphate-monohydrate to FeOHSO₄, and formation of barium ferrites such as BaFe₂O₄ and BaFe₁₂O₁₉.     

Structures of deoxypeganine salts

The structures of deoxypeganine (DOP) hydrochloride and oxalate were solved by x-ray structure analysis. An infinite chain along the crystallographic c axis was formed in the crystal structure of DOP oxalate. A molecular framework consisting of Cl anions and DOP cation protonated at N1 was found in the structure of unhydrated DOP hydrochloride. The molecular packing of the “host” (DOP cation) was pseudoisostructural in the studied ion-molecular crystals but differed from other known DOP salts. The “guest” molecules (acid anions) in the studied and known DOP salts formed different intermolecular contacts. __________ Translated from Khimiya Prirodnykh Soedinenii, No. 3, pp. 280–283, May–June, 2006.     

Preparation and catalytic performance of superfine Ni/BaTiO3 catalyst

Superfine Ni/BaTiO₃ catalysts were prepared by impregnation method and used successfully for CO₂ reforming CH₄ to syngas. The effects of preparation method and the temperatures of calcination, reduction and reaction on the catalytic activity of the Ni/BaTiO₃ system were investigated. 配位聚合物{[CoL][FeⅡFeⅢ(ox)3·1.5H2O]}∞的合成、波谱表征和磁学性质

A new Schiff base complex， CoL(ClO₄)·3H₂O (1) {L represents condensed from equal molar ratio of sali-cylaldehyde and diethylenetriamine} was synthesized and characterized. Further， a new coordination polymer， {[CoL][Fe^ⅡFe^Ⅲ(ox)₃·1.5H₂O]}_∞ (2)， was synthesized and characterized， where ox^2-=oxalate. The results of the IR and M?ssbauer spectra of 2 revealed that the coordination polymer exists 2-D layer structure in the solid state， and anions layer was formed by [^ⅡFe^Ⅲ(ox)₃]^- unit. The magnetic properties of 2 have been measured and the results indicate that there is magnetic ordering in the low temperature， which may arise from intermolecular ferromagnetic interactions or spin canted effects.
