This study investigates the effect of surface immobilization on the bactericidal function of a quaternary ammonium compound. Quaternary ammonium silane (QAS) coated planar surfaces did not produce any measurable mortality of Staphylococcus aureus, while 1 µm QAS‐coated microparticles did produce S. aureus mortality. The experiments using QAS‐coated microparticles indicate that the ability of QAS molecules to disrupt the cell wall is not hindered by covalent immobilization of QAS to a surface. These results provide evidence that S. aureus cells on a QAS‐coated planar surface are not exposed to a sufficient number of QAS molecules to produce significant mortality. This result has important implications for the development of self‐decontaminating coatings. Covalent immobilization is used to prevent leaching of the bactericidal compound. However, covalent immobilization may result in a significant tradeoff in bactericidal performance. Published in 2007 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

以取代苯甲醛、取代吡啶和取代苯甲酸酯等为原料合成了 10种含硫杂环化合物 (其中 2a~ 2g化合物为国内外未见报道 ) .在合成过程中采用了超声波技术 ,极大地缩短了反应时间 ,提高了收率 .所得化合物的结构经IR ,1 HNMR ,MS和元素分析证实 .对其生物活性进行了初步测试 ,结果证明一些化合物具有良好的抑菌或杀菌作用 ,其中 2b ,2c ,2e ,2h ,2i和2j对大肠杆菌 ( 10 40 7号 )的抗菌效果与CET和SMZ相当 ;2b ,2c ,2f对草绿色链球菌 ( 112 3号 )的抗菌效果与CET和SMZ相当 .  相似文献

1-酰基-4-芳基氨基硫脲类化合物在碱性条件下环化为具有广泛生物活性的3-取代基-4-芳基-1,2,4-三唑啉-5-硫酮的反应报道甚多,但1,4-位都含羰基的酰氨基硫脲在碱性条件下环化反应迄今报道较少。我们曾研究了1-[5-(α-萘)-2H-四唑-2-乙酰基]-4-芳酰基氨基硫脲和1-(α-萘乙酰基)-4-芳酰基氨基硫脲在碱催化下环化为3-取代基-4-芳酰基-1,2,4-三唑啉-5-硫酮的反应,它们在低浓度下均有一定的生物活性。本文研究了1-苯乙酰基-4-芳酰基氨基硫脲1_(a~m)在1mol/L K_2CO_3溶液催化下的环化反应,得到环化产物3-苄基-4-芳酰基-1,2,  相似文献

The synthetic, spectroscopic and biological studies of some organotin(IV) complexes derived from sulfonamide imine having a nitrogen–nitrogen donor system have been undertaken. The sulfonamide imine, on interaction with organotin(IV) chlorides, yields complexes having an Sn←N bond. The structures of these compounds have been elucidated by microestimations and spectral (UV, IR, 1H, 13C and 119Sn NMR) studies, which unerringly point to the trigonal bipyramidal and octahedral geometries for the unimolar and bimolar reactions respectively around tin(IV), as the active lone pair of nitrogen is also included in the coordination sphere. Studies were conducted to assess the comparative growth‐inhibiting potential of the synthesized complexes against the sulfonamide imine for a variety of fungal and bacterial strains. The studies demonstrate that the concentrations reached levels sufficient to inhibit and kill the pathogens. The results of the biological studies have also been compared with the conventional standards, Bavistin and Streptomycin, taken for antifungal and antibacterial activities respectively. 采用硅胶作为制备水溶性季铵盐杀菌剂的原料,以γ-胺丙基三甲氧基硅作为联接硅胶和杀菌活性官能团的偶联剂,在硅胶上键合γ-胺基三甲氧基硅烷的最佳反应条件为:使用二甲苯作反应溶剂,80℃反应6h以上,硅烷与硅胶的重量比为1:1左右,固载硅烷的硅胶叔胺化条件为:使用甲苯和二甲苯作反应溶剂,100℃反应4h以上,甲酸与甲醛的体积比为1:1,使用所研制的中间体制备的水下溶性杀剂量用在2mg/ml时杀菌率达到97%。  相似文献

Silver based Metal Organic Framework (MOF) materials were synthesized by the reaction of phospho-benzoic acid with silver salts under hydrothermal treatment and with/without urea. According to this procedure, either both functional groups (phosphonic acid and carboxylic acid) were engaged in iono-covalent bonds with silver atoms or, on the contrary, only the phosphonic acid function is engaged. Consequently, these materials exhibited different stability and their ability to release silver salts, when they were placed in water, was different. The antibacterial properties of these materials were attributed to the silver salt, released in solution.  相似文献
