The global epidemic owing to COVID-19 has generated awareness to ensuring best practices for avoiding the microorganism spread. Indeed, because of the increase in infections caused by bacteria and viruses such as SARS-CoV-2, the global demand for antimicrobial materials is growing. New technologies by using polymeric systems are of great interest. Virus transmission by contaminated surfaces leads to the spread of infectious diseases, so antimicrobial coatings are significant in this regard. Moreover, antimicrobial food packaging is beneficial to prevent the spread of microorganisms during food processing and transportation. Furthermore, antimicrobial textiles show an effective role. We aim to provide a review of prepared antimicrobial polymeric materials for use in coating, food packaging, and textile during the COVID-19 pandemic and after pandemic. 相似文献

This paper develops a mathematical model of the ring-spinning process that takes into account its non-stationary nature. A complex system of differential equations is obtained, which from a mathematical point of view constitutes a ‘free-boundary’ problem. Its solution involves definition of suitable boundary conditions related to the mechanical characteristics of the process and of the spinning machine itself. The boundary conditions which determine the solution are pointed out. A numerical solution of the system of differential equations can be obtained by the Finite-Segments method, as shown in an example. 相似文献

A confirmation method for the determination of 18 aromatic amines originating from azo dyes after reductive cleavage was developed. The method is based on the use of high-performance liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry with atmospheric-pressure chemical ionization. For the identification of the analytes one precursor ion and two daughter ions (multi-reaction monitoring, MRM) were selected and the LC-MS/MS parameters optimized to obtain high sensitivity and selectivity. The linear ranges varied from 0.1–1 to 30–50 g mL–1 with correlation coefficients of 0.99 or better. The applicability of the method to determine o-tolidine (3,3-dimethylbenzidine) and 3,3-dimethoxybenzidine in textiles following reductive cleavage of acid red 114, trypan blue, and Chicago sky blue 6B was demonstrated. 相似文献

N-Methylol dimethylphosphonopropionamide (MDPA), known as “Pyrovatex CP” and “Pyrovatex CP New” commercially, has been one of the most commonly used durable flame retardant agents for cotton for many years. In our previous research, we developed a flame retardant finishing system for cotton based on a hydroxy-functional organophosphorus oligomer (HFPO) in combination with a bonding agent such as trimethylolmelamine (TMM) and dimethyloldihydroxyethyleneurea (DMDHEU). In this research, we investigated the bonding of these two flame retardant finishing agents to cotton. We found that the majority of MDPA is bound to cotton by its N-methylol group and that the use of TMM as a co-reactant modestly increases the fixation of MDPA onto cotton. For HFPO, however, the use of a bonding agent is necessary to form a covalent linkage between HFPO and cotton. Both the fixation of HFPO on cotton and its laundering durability are influenced by the effectiveness and concentration of the bonding agent. The commercial product of HFPO contains approximately 33% more phosphorus than that of MDPA and the percent fixation of HFPO on cotton is also moderately higher than that of MDPA. The bonding between MDPA and cotton is significantly more resistant to hydrolysis during multiple launderings than that between HFPO and cotton. The selection of catalyst also plays a significant role in influencing the bonding of the flame retardant agents to cotton. 相似文献

In industrial processes, information
on the safety property of chemicals is essentially crucial for safe handling
during unit operations. Ensuring the safe use of combustible or flammable
substances in processes is unlikely without detailed investigations of their
flammability characteristics and related hazards. We studied 3-methyl pyridine
(3-picoline), e.g., flammability limits (LFL/UFL), maximum explosion pressure
(P
max), maximum
explosion pressure rise (dP/dt)max, minimum oxygen concentration
(MOC), vapor deflagration index (K
g),
and characterized the influence of inert steam (H2O)
on critical parameters for 3-picoline/water mixtures at 270°C, 1 atm,
various oxygen concentrations, and vapor mixing ratios (100/0, 30/70, 10/90
and 5/95 vol.%) with a 20-L-Apparatus in simulated conditions, respectively.
The results showed that the flammability characteristics
of 3-picoline(aq) all increased with the oxygen concentration.
However, as the composition of inert steam increased, the flammability parameters
and the degree of fire and explosion hazards were significantly reduced, instead.
This study elucidated the flammability properties of 3-picoline mixed with
inert steam. The conclusions could be applied to proactively prevent the relevant

We present the study of the cyclodextrin (CDs) finishing of polyamide fibers (PA) by means of citric acid (CTR) as crosslinking agent. We observed that the mode of grafting happened by the formation of a crosslinked polymer formed between CTR and CDs. This polymer physically adhered to the fibers network and was resistant to hot water washings. Modified fibers were characterized by evaluating the contact angle with a polar liquid and by studying the hysteresis of damping of PA fibers (Cahn balance) with various grafting rates and by studying the absorptivity of grafted fabrics via the technique of the posed drop (Digidrop® instrument). Then a mechanical characterization of the PA fabrics grafted with various proportions of CDs was accomplished, by traction and tear tests by using a tensile-test bench Lohmergy. Finally a topographic study of PA grafted surfaces was approached by atomic force microscopy (AFM and LFM; contact and non-contact mode) which permitted to evaluate the roughness and the chemical heterogeneity of the grafted surfaces. 相似文献

A novel perfluoroalkyl-containing quaternary ammonium salt 5 was designed and synthesized. Consequently, the antimicrobial activities of compound 5 were measured with Escherichia coli 8099 as a Gram-negative strain and Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 as a Gram-positive strain. Both the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC, the lowest concentration of compound 5 that inhibits microbial growth) values of quaternary ammonium salt 5 against Escherichia coli 8099 and Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 were 7.8 μg/ml. 相似文献
