A new cucurbitane triterpenoid from Momordica charantia

One new cucurbitane-type triterpenoid saponin, 5b,19-epoxycucurbita-6,23-diene-3b,19,25-triol-3-O-b-D-allopyranoside (1), named momordicoside P was isolated from the fresh fruits of Momordica charantia. The structure of the saponin was elucidated byspectral methods, including 2D-NMR spectra.     

Recent Development in the Synthesis of Natural Saponins and Their Derivatives

Naturally occurring saponins are attractive candidates or lead compounds for new drug design and development and thus have become important synthetic targets. This short account reviews the recent progress in the chemical synthesis and structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies of naturally occurring saponins and their derivatives.

紫外分光光度法测定海星皂甙的含量

海星皂甙与浓硫酸反应生成α,β 不饱和酮,在277nm处产生特征吸收峰,据此建立了紫外分光光度法测定海星皂甙含量的分析方法。该法测定皂甙的百分吸光系数E1%为149mL·g-1·cm-1,线性范围10～50μg/mL,检出限为0.37μg/mL。方法1cm,λmax用于不同种类海星组织中的皂甙含量测定,简单快速,稳定性好,精密度高,结果令人满意。     

Separation ofAstragalus saponins by reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography and evaporative light scattering detection

Summary A new HPLC method permitted the separation of 13 triterpene lycosides isolated from differentAstragalus species within 40 min. A water/acetonitrile gradient was used as eluent and 5 μm RP-18 material as stationary phase. By using an evaporative light scattering (ELS) detector, the main saponins ofA. membranaceus could be detected at levels as low as 20.0 μg·mL⁻¹. This method facilitated distinction of differentAstragalus species as well as the analyses of market products containingA. membranaceus. The results showed variations from 0.019 to 0.184% in the total saponin content of the market products.     

含酯糖链皂甙的负离子快原子轰击质谱分析

本实验用负离子快原子轰击(FAB)法测定了8个含酯糖链的双糖链皂甙样品,给出了明显的脱质子分子离子峰,由碎片离子峰可推测糖基的连接顺序;不仅对难挥发、热不稳定和极性大的样品可直接进样分析,而且对在酯糖链皂甙中出现以酯裂解为基峰的碎片,还可初步确定糖链在甙元上的连接位置。
