High performance liquid chromatographic separation of polar and non-polar chlorophyll pigments from algae using a wide pore polymeric octadecylsilica column

A method employing a wide pore polymeric reversed phase column has been developed for the separation of most of the chlorophylls and related compounds previously described as occurring in marine microalgae. The high selectivity toward molecular shape of this kind of stationary phase has enabled compounds of very similar structure, such as chlorophylls c₁, c₂ and Mg-divinylpheoporphyrin a₅ monomethyl ester, and chlorophyll a and the phytol-substituted chlorophyll c-like pigments, which commonly coelute on monomeric bonded phases, to be resolved in a single run. Some of these pigments, formerly thought to be a single compound, have, in fact, been demonstrated to be groups of two or more. The method has been successfully applied to both algal cultures and natural sea water samples. When visible light absorbance detection was used, the method proved suitable for separation of various carotenoids.     

Synthesis and electrical characteristics of polyaniline nanoparticles and their polymeric composite

Monodisperse polyaniline nanoparticles (PAPSSA) were synthesized from an oxidative dispersion polymerization using poly(sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) (PSSA) as both a polymeric stabilizer and a dopant agent due to its acidity. The nanoparticles were being stabilized with two different molecular weight of PSSA. Size effect of PAPSSA particles were examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and dynamic light scattering (DLS). The d.c. electrical conductivity of composite films on the glass substrate was measured by a four-probe method. It was found that the electrical properties of the composite films are affected by the content of nano-sized polyaniline and different molecular weights of stabilizer in the poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) matrix.     

Precipitation and characterization of uniform submicrometer lead titanate particles. Part II: Reaction mechanism

The chemical mechanism of the precipitation of lead titanium peroxohydroxide particles in a solution of nitrilotriacetate (NTA) complexes of lead and titanium peroxo-hydroxide is envisioned as the interaction between cations of lead hydroxide and anions of polymeric titanium peroxo-hydroxide.     

Structure, reactivity, and application of some triketone derivatives

The major tautomer of several triketone derivatives in organic and aqueous solutions has been determined. Their solvent- and base-sensitive properties have been applied in the design of a polarity-sensitive fluorescent probe and an acidichromic colorant, respectively. The regioselective acetylation and methylation of 2-acyldimedone, 3-acyl-4-hydroxycoumarin, and 2-acyl-1,3-indandione have also been investigated. The results indicated that acetylation and methylation of the first two occurred specifically at endocyclic enolic oxygens, whereas for the latter they occurred at exocyclic enolic oxygen.     

高分子在生物工程中的应用进展

在生物工程中所用的高分子材料一般统称为高分子生物材料,其涉及的范围很广。医用高分子是其中很重要的一类,另一类就是在生物技术中所用的高分子材料。对于高分子生物材料可根据其材料性质进行分类,也可按使用范围进行分类。如体内应用的材料,半体内应用的材料和体外应用的材料。本文着重介绍了抗凝血材料、药用高分子材料及应用于生物技术中高分子材料的研究进展,并总结分析了这几个研究领域中的发展趋势。

High-performance anion-exchange chromatography of carbohydrates using a new resin and pulsed amperometric detection

Summary This paper reports the results of a study on the use of a new polymer-based, strong anion-exchange, stationary phase for rapid and selective separation of carbohydrates and related compounds by high-pH, anion-exchange chromatography with pulsed amperometric detection. The new adsorbent has been obtained by direct nitration of 2.8 μm, spherical non-porous highly cross-linked, styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer beads, followed by reduction of superficially introduced nitro groups with nascent hydrogen and quaternization of the resultant amino groups with iodomethane. It is reported that by optimizing the ionic strength of the mobile phase, columns packed with the new anion-exchanger can be successfully employed to separate, either in isocratic or gradient elution mode, oligosaccharides, positional isomers of gluco-disaccharides, as well as uronic acids and sugar monophosphates.     

A novel gel polymer electrolyte based on poly ionic liquid 1-ethyl 3-(2-methacryloyloxy ethyl) imidazolium iodide

Poly ionic liquid 1-ethyl 3-(2-methacryloyloxy ethyl) imidazolium iodide (PEMEImI) as a single-ion conductor was designed and synthesized. When appropriate amount of suitable plasticizers, I₂ and polyacrylonitrile (PAN) were incorporated into it, the complex formed gel polymer electrolyte. Chemical structure, thermal behavior and ionic conductive properties of the gel polymer electrolyte were investigated by Raman spectra, UV-Vis spectra, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and complex impedance analysis, respectively. For the new gel polymer electrolyte, the ionic conductivity of about 1 × 10⁻³ S cm⁻¹ at room temperature was achieved.     

冠醚共缩聚物的合成与性能（Ⅱ）

采用２，６－二羟甲基苯酚类化合物分别与单苯并冠醚（Ｂ１５ＣＳ、Ｂ１８Ｃ６）和Ｍ苯并冠醚（２Ｂ１８Ｃ６、２Ｂ２４Ｃ８、２Ｂ３０Ｃ１０）在酸催化下缩聚，合成了两个系列冠醚共缩聚物．这些聚合物Ｍ＝１２００—４５００，可溶于氯仿等溶剂，萃取性能和络合选择性均有所提高．作为树脂使用，动态吸附容量为０．０５—０．１５ｍｍｏｌ／ｇ，并有较好的色谱特性．     

A PMMA composite as an optical diffuser in a liquid crystal display backlighting unit (BLU)

The effect of thermo-physical properties, relative humidity and stiffness on the warpage of a poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) diffusing plate modified with glass fibers in a direct-lit backlight unit (BLU) of a liquid crystal display (LCD) was investigated. The warpage of the PMMA diffusing composites modified with a glass fiber were significantly reduced relative to that of a conventional PMMA diffusing plate. Luminance and scattering characteristics of the PMMA diffusing composites having 5, 10, 20 vol% of glass fibers were measured. Although the luminance of the composite was lowered as increasing the volume fractions of glass fibers in the PMMA composites, good brightness uniformity of the composites on a light source was obtained.
