A new scheme for controlling photodissociation through preparation of a variationally optimized linear superposition of field free vibrational eigenstates is applied for selective control of IBr and HI dissociation. The dependence of photodissociation on various field parameters and initial conditions is examined to investigate the mechanistic basis of selective control. The parametric equations of motion approach for determining vibrational dynamics as a function of field parameters without having to solve the time dependent Schrödinger equation explicitly for each field parameter separately is outlined and its use to identify field characteristics which will provide the requisite population mix represented by the optimal linear superposition of vibrational states is advocated.  相似文献

Photocatalytic reactions are governed by photogenerated charge carriers upon band gap excitation. Therefore, for better understanding of the mechanism, the dynamics of photocarriers should be studied. One of the attractive materials is TiO2, which has been extensively investigated in the field of photocatalysis. This review article summarizes our recent works of time-resolved visible to mid-IR absorption measurements to elucidate the difference of anatase, rutile, and brookite TiO2 powders. The distinctive photocatalytic activities of these polymorphs are determined by the electron-trapping processes at the defects on powders. Powders are rich in defects and these defects capture photogenerated electrons. The depth of the trap is crystal phase dependent, and they are estimated to be < 0.1 eV, ∼0.4 eV and ∼0.9 eV for anatase, brookite, and rutile, respectively. Electron trapping reduces probability to meet with holes and then elongate the lifetime of holes. Therefore, it works negatively for the reaction of electrons but positively works for the reaction of holes. In the steady-state reactions, both electrons and holes should be consumed. Hence, the balance between the positive and negative effects of defects determines the distinctive photocatalytic activities of anatase, rutile, and brookite TiO2 powders.  相似文献

The excited-state intramolecular proton transfer in the aromatic polycycle 10-hydroxybenzo[h]quinoline is investigated by means of transient absorption experiments with 30 fs time resolution, classical dynamics and wavepacket dynamics. The experiments establish the ultrafast transfer after UV excitation and show signatures of coherent vibrational motion in the keto product. To elucidate details of the proton transfer mechanism, the classical dynamics is also performed for 2-(2′-hydroxyphenyl)benzothiazole and the results are compared. For both systems the proton transfer takes place on the ultrafast scale of 30–40 fs, with good agreement between the theoretical investigations and the measurements. The dynamics simulations show that for both molecules the proton is handed over by means of skeletal deformation of the molecule. Due to the more rigid structure of 10-hydroxybenzo[h]quinoline the hydrogen migration mode participates more actively than in 2-(2′-hydroxyphenyl)benzothiazole.  相似文献
