Zinc porphyrin sensitized redox processes in microemulsions

Photoinduced electron transfer from Zn tetraphenylporphyrin to acceptors solubilized either in the lipid interior or aqueous bulk of anionic oil-in-water microemulsions has been investigated by nanosecond laser photolysis. While intimate cosolubilization appears to decrease the efficiency of electron transfer in the former, enhanced charge separation of the redox products has been observed in the latter.     

八角茴香与其伪品莽草的红外光谱三级鉴定研究

采用红外光谱三级鉴定的方法区分和鉴别了八角茴香及其伪品莽草。红外光谱三级鉴定即依次采用一维红外光谱、二阶导数谱和二维相关红外光谱,分辨率逐渐提高,谱图的差别也进一步放大。一维谱图中,两者整体峰形比较相似,但在3 400 cm-1附近八角茴香只出现一个特征峰3 392 cm-1,而莽草则出现3 482和3 387 cm-1两个特征峰。二阶导数谱在850～1 180 cm-1波段八角茴香的几个强峰峰强相对比较接近,其中1 015 cm-1为图中最强峰,而莽草的最强峰在1 070 cm-1附近;在1 180～1 500 cm-1波段八角茴香在1 469,1 454,1 442 cm-1附近的３个特征峰峰强明显强于1 292,1 276,1 266 cm-1附近的特征峰,而莽草则刚好相反。二维相关红外光谱中差异更明显,850～1 165 cm-1波段八角茴香在主对角线上的自动峰较强峰出现在1 153和1 000 cm-1,而莽草峰强较强的自动峰出现在911和878 cm-1;1 165～1 500 cm-1波段八角茴香呈现2个自动峰,而莽草则出现5个自动峰。可见红外三级鉴定方法是一种快速有效的鉴定中药材的方法。     

舞花姜的化学成分

舞花姜（Ｇｌｏｂｂａｒａｃｅｍｏｓａｓｍｉｔｈ）为姜科舞花姜属植物,产于我国南部、西南部等地。其根和果实在民间药用,有健胃、消炎的功能,用于治疗胃炎、消化不良、急慢性肾炎等［１］。尚未见有关舞花姜属植物化学成分和药理活性的研究报道,为此我们对其地下部分的化学成分进行了研究。乙醇提取物的石油醚可溶部分经硅胶柱和萄聚糖凝胶柱层析分离得到五个化合物,经光谱鉴定为木栓酮（ｆｒｉｅｄｅｌｉｎ１）,ｃｙｃｌｏｅｕｃａｌｅｎ－ｏｌ（２）、３－羟基－豆甾－５烯－７－酮（３－ｈｙｄｒｏｘｙ－ｓｔｉｇｍａｓｔ－５－…     

On the computation of the Smith normal form of compound matrices

Compound matrices are encountered in many fields such as Matrix Theory, Systems Theory, Control Theory, etc. In the present paper we develop an efficient algorithm computing the Smith normal form of compound matrices. This algorithm is based on a new theorem establishing an equivalence relation between the Smith normal form of the compounds of a given matrix and the compounds of the Smith normal form of the given matrix. This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.     

Regular Twists: Replicating Coulomb’s Wire-Torsion Experiments

I discuss our replication of the wire-torsion experiments that Charles Augustin Coulomb (1736–1806) reported in a session of the Paris Académie des Sciences in 1784. I first explain the nature and purpose of the replication method and then apply it to an analysis of Coulomb’s experiments. I conclude by placing Coulomb’s presentation of his memoir into its specific historical contest.     

基于虚拟仪器的换热器智能控制系统设计

换热器广泛应用于建筑工程领域及工业过程中,其出口介质温度的有效控制是保证质量、节能和安全生产的重要条件,因此换热器出口水温的控制是过程控制中的重要课题。本文以西门子SMPT1000换热器温度控制系统为研究对象,建立基于虚拟仪器的智能温度控制平台。该平台在实现传统PID控制的基础上,又增加了智能控制算法,斯密斯控制和模糊控制。实验证明该智能控制平台具有修改参数简易方便、曲线准确的优点,具有良好的动静态特性,且市场应用价值高。     

Hermite and Smith normal form algorithms over Dedekind domains

We show how the usual algorithms valid over Euclidean domains, such as the Hermite Normal Form, the modular Hermite Normal Form and the Smith Normal Form can be extended to Dedekind rings. In a sequel to this paper, we will explain the use of these algorithms for computing in relative extensions of number fields.

     

Three new steroidal saponins from the rhizome of Paris polyphylla

A mixture of a pair of stereoisomeric new spirostanol saponins (1a and 1b) and a new cholestane saponin (2) were isolated from the rhizome of Paris pollyphylla Smith var. yunnanensis. Their structures were elucidated as (25R)-spirost-5-en-3beta, 7beta-diol-3-O-alpha-L-arabinofuranosyl-(1 --> 4)-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 --> 2)]-beta-D-glucopyranoside (1a), (25R)-spirost-5-en-3beta, 7alpha-diol-3-O-alpha-L-arabinofuranosyl-(1 --> 4)-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 --> 2)]-beta-D-glucopyranoside (1b) and 26-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(25R)-Delta(5(6), 17(20))-dien-16, 22-dione-cholestan-3beta, 26-diol-3-O-alpha-L-arabinofuranosyl-(1 --> 4)-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 --> 2)]-beta-D-glucopyranoside (2) by a combination of HR-ESI-MS, FAB-MS, 1D and 2D NMR techniques (including (1)H-NMR, (13)C-NMR, (1)H--(1)H COSY, HSQC, HMBC and NOESY).     

Iterated monoidal categories

We develop a notion of an n-fold monoidal category and show that it corresponds in a precise way to the notion of an n-fold loop space. Specifically, the group completion of the nerve of such a category is an n-fold loop space, and free n-fold monoidal categories give rise to a finite simplicial operad of the same homotopy type as the classical little cubes operad used to parametrize the higher H-space structure of an n-fold loop space. We also show directly that this operad has the same homotopy type as the n-th Smith filtration of the Barratt-Eccles operad and the n-th filtration of Berger's complete graph operad. Moreover, this operad contains an equivalent preoperad which gives rise to Milgram's small model for when n=2 and is very closely related to Milgram's model of for n>2.
