Development of Nanotechnology-Based Organic Coatings

Nanotechnology-based organic coatings have attracted increasing interest in recent years due to their high performances. In this article, the development of nanotechnology-based coatings is reviewed with regard to their potential applications, such as UV-blocking coatings, anti-scratch coatings, anti-abrasion coatings, anti-corrosion coatings, super-hydrophobic coatings and barrier coatings. The market for nanocomposite coatings in China is also briefly described.
